Double standard

June 26, 2013

Where is all the hue and cry from liberal Democrats about all the billing and maiming with knives? Will they try to only allow a knife with blades or take away all the knives? I suppose they think......

You know what I find offensive Relene? That someone would quote an editorial from the Washington Examiner, then try and attribute it to the Washington Post to lend credibility to it.

And little Suzie PC chimes in. Do you think the entire text of my post that you found so offensive, will also magically disappear from your post too?

You better play it safe and hit the "Report Abuse" button on your own comment as well.

You never cease to amaze Relene.

Hayes,

"You know boobie, its going to hot for the next few days. You should make sure to keep lots of fresh water in your mom's dish."

You have stooped to a new low. Your comment is crass and crude. I hope when I hit the abuse button it goes away.

The IG's report CLEARLY states that 298 groups were flagged for additional scrutiny last year. If you go to page 8 of the report, and look for figure 4, it lists the following breakdown of the groups targeted:

72 groups: Tea Party 11 groups: 9/12 13 groups: Patriots 202 groups: other

Now get out your abacus, and do the math.

Do you know the difference between the "Washington Post", and a bogus editorial at the "Washington Examiner"?

You see, the first one is an actual newspaper with journalistic standards, the second one is a far right rag, that doesn't even have standards for the news it prints, not to mention editorials.

The IRS scandal investigation has become a scandal for the GOP, especially Issa. The Tea party made it all about them when it wasn't.

" Department's inspector general has revealed that just six progressive groups were targeted compared to 292 conservative groups."

False. Only 298 groups, out of over 60,000, 501 applications last year were flagged, and out of those 298, only 96 were conservative groups of any kind.

"But new documents have revealed that liberal and progressive groups received similar treatment from the IRS. The “inappropriate criteria” used to single out tea party groups — so-called “Be On the Look Out” (BOLO) memos — also singled out progressive and “Occupy” groups."

------------------------------------ From the Washington Post, June 27, 2013

Refuting Democratic suggestions that progressive groups were also swept up in the IRS probe of the tax status of Tea Party organizations, the Treasury Department's inspector general has revealed that just six progressive groups were targeted compared to 292 conservative groups.

I noticed that Fox "News" has a story up about the IRS issuing "BOLO's" for liberal groups, but somehow they forgot to include the detail that Daryl Issa SPECIFICALLY requested such information not be included in the report paid for with taxpayer dollars. Wonder why they'd leave something like that out? Can we be expecting a series of retractions and apologies from Fox sometime soon?

Issa belongs in prison.

Be patient. There are a LOT o' "conservatives", who are (only RECENTLY) remembering how they'd disagreed with Lil' Dumbya; regarding the Iraq-debacle...and, Darrell Issa KNOWS that.

It's got it all! It mocks the folks who wish to stop gun violence, it's got Benghazi, it's got Reverend Wright AND it reminds us that the President isn't a REAL American.

The letter's author MUST be VERY proud of himself! He paints with words as an artist with oils.

A true caricature of right wing thinkery." - JerryfromRI

Let's be fair, now. We have NO idea how many White-wingers have been "bunkered"-down (since November '08), and have limited-info on present-times.

Ya' gotta figure...they've (obviously) limited their "news"-intake, to that Noon-to-3pm time-slot. It's not that ACCURATE, of news, but it makes the bunker-dwellers feel connected (to the outside-World)...while waiting for RAHOWA.
