Double standard

June 26, 2013

Where is all the hue and cry from liberal Democrats about all the billing and maiming with knives? Will they try to only allow a knife with blades or take away all the knives? I suppose they think......

Pretty amazing, Frank.

You resurrect (nearly) 6-year-old rhetoric...before you've (even) learned to operate spell-check?

"billing and maiming with knives"

I've never been billed with a knife.

"while four Americans die without help in Libia, and then try and cover it up."

Libia? Try to cover it up? Why it was all over the news within hours of it happening. The President actually made a statement on it within a couple hours of the attack. Holding a press conference on something, is historically, a bad way to try and cover it up.

CHayes:

Once again, you are President Obama's waterboy.

In the hours after the attack, we know the talking points provided were scrubbed of any reference to Al Qaeda or terrorism and replaced with blaming a YouTube video that only had a few hundred hits at that time.

The Obama administration sent Susan Rice out to all five Sunday talk shows to continue the deliberately crafted lie of the video.

Two weeks later, President Obama himself cited the video in a speech to the UN.

The approximately 30 survivors of Benghazi have been isolated, threatened and prevented from giving their eyewitness account.

But, there is no cover-up......according to the waterboy.

Erik - there is a difference between "I believe" or assume than implying direct knowledge. I don't believe Obama knew although will not discount Hillary. We are all assuming from whatever sources we choose to believe.

The liberals despise the way our country is run when following the constitution and yet it was because of the freedoms that our young men died for that gave them the ability to become a liberal. Oxymoron.

The conservatives are out of their minds.

Conservatives are just as concern about knives as they are about guns, they have none.

Benghazi investigation stalled and fell apart for the right.

The IRs scandal is not a scandal making it a scandal is now the Tea Party trying to make it about them is the scandal.

NSA operates under the rules of the Patriot Act and the right wasn't against it. Liberals had warned you now live with your creation.

Wow what a liar you are Darlin it is your side who constantly cries about how this country is run especially by the Emperor and socialist Obama. Letter after letter how liberalism is destroying this country. It is conservatives who have the biggest objections on the size of government yet they are ones who made it bigger to begin with.

And if he had said it was al Qaeda before he knew, and it was another group, you would have called for his impeachment for that too, because he was obviously a "secret muslim", trying to cover for the terrorists he "pals around with".

Yawn.

And apparently some of the hits on the video were by al Qaeda, because the head of the group cited the video as a reason to renew attacks on America in a video he released days before the attack.

If this had happened on George W. Bush's watch, and he had released a statement that said the attack was carried out by fringe elements of the Mouseketeers, erik would be defending the statement.

It has been defended for years but because it is Obama in the WH they won't defend it.

The Patriot Act which covers what the NSA did was renewed without much fuss. Some very staunch conservatives still support it. It is not just 'the liberals' who are defending what the NSA did some very hardline conservatives are also defending it. It is the weak knee republicans looking for any way to smear Obama who are against it now. Where were these opposers to the Patriot Act when it was renewed without a fuss? Raising campaign funds probably.

This letter has got my vote for letter of the week.

It's got it all! It mocks the folks who wish to stop gun violence, it's got Benghazi, it's got Reverend Wright AND it reminds us that the President isn't a REAL American.

The letter's author MUST be VERY proud of himself! He paints with words as an artist with oils.

A true caricature of right wing thinkery.

Hayes,

Every time you defend Obama, you only show your incapacity to discern right from wrong. If it was only The pastor Wright(I refuse to call anyone reverend) and Benghazi, your idol wouldn't be toppling. Democrats are jumping ship to salvage the next votes. Obama has a long history of dark shadows and trails that lead to nowhere...or wait..to somewhere...but fortunately for him, he's only got about three years left and all of this will go away. History for America has recorded on this president, lies, deceit, power monger, fear intimidator, Constitutional obstructionist, worldwide apologist for the country he's living on Scott free, and an entire staff that is problematic in some respect or another, and a willful attempt to erode America has we know it. Yeah, that's something to be proud of. There are no accomplishments that bettered America.

Uh-oh:

"The bombshell IRS audit released in May omitted information about liberal groups at the request of House Oversight Committee Chairman Darrell Issa (R-CA), according to the Treasury Inspector General for Tax Administration’s office.

A spokesman for Treasury Inspector General J. Russell George told The Hill on Tuesday that Issa had requested investigators “narrowly focus on tea party organizations.”

...

But new documents have revealed that liberal and progressive groups received similar treatment from the IRS. The “inappropriate criteria” used to single out tea party groups — so-called “Be On the Look Out” (BOLO) memos — also singled out progressive and “Occupy” groups.

“We did not review the use, disposition, purpose or content of the other BOLOs. That was outside the scope of our audit,” the Treasury inspector general spokesman told The Hill."
