Don't go slamming the teachers for the is stupid spending and too high of pay for the Superintendent, Business Manager etc. Lets put the blame where it belongs. I do, however, agree with the fact that students should go to school year round because we are falling so far behind Japan and other countries in the education of our students. Also get rid of the electives in school and teach the basics along with tech programs..something that is going to help the students get jobs in the real world. When I was in high school they offered electives such as Romantic Poetry for an English class, race car driving for an English class where you read all about race car driving....get rid of all of the puff and stick with the basics.

Maybe it's time that teachers start working all year. They get a salary for a year. Then(if they want) some can teach summer school and make more money. I think the students would benefit also. The schools are paying utility bills and custodians all summer. So families can plan a vacation you could have a week of in each summer month.

Yep!! Raise the taxes....gotta keep the teachers and administration happy. Benefits and retirement the taxpayers only dream about. People should go to the school and see for themselves where the money is going.....80% of the budget goes for salaries and benefits!!!!
