Where will it end?

July 1, 2013

At 3 a.m. July 17, 1996, I awoke to a CNN report that a TWA flight had been shot down by a missile. By 5 a.m., there was no mention of a missile; it was being called an explosio....

That doesn't make any sense.

The lefts will tell you that you're just being conspirators. I would say to you that I suspected a missile way back when. Who? I wouldn't speculate. I'd hate to think that it was an accident by our federal govt.

Bobbie, jet fuel does have a higher flashpoint than other fuels but the vapors in enclosed fuel cells are highly flammable. One of the most dangerous jobs we had when doing maintenance on aircraft in the military was working in fuel cells.

Sorry boobie but Jet fuel has an auto ignition temperature of 410 degrees.

But I have an idea to test your theory. Let's cut the top of a 55 gallon drum, and dump 20 gallons of jet fuel in it. Then you climb into the barrel, and we'll pass you a lit blow torch taped to the end of a 10 ft pole. I'll give you 20 bucks if you try it.

I have trouble in believing this theory about a missile. It was being reported that one of our own ships may have shot it down. Do you know hard it would be for the young men and women on that ship to keep that "secret". You don't think many of them would have had the integrity to come forward? So if not that theory then we have possible terrorists. After all it was during this time that OBL was performing attacks around the world. But if that's the case don't you think they would have been taking credit and dancing in the streets like they did following the USS Cole and 9/11? So where did this missile come from and how did they pull off keeping so many that were involved in the aftermath quiet? I'm just not convinced and as far as I'm concerned unless the media had new hard evidence to report, they had no business putting these families through this again.

Ya' gotta figure...conspiracy-theorists have very-little (else) goin'-on, in their lives...and, are (absolutely) DESPERATE for the notoriety from "knowing" something no-one-else does...as-long-as there's no (actual) work, required.

Absolutely...those conspiracy-theorists who "KNOW" it was a missile that brought-down that jet!!!!

If they (already) KNOW it was a missile...they (also) obviously KNOW who was responsible for launching them!!

Don't expect the truth from either side of the isle, our Government is disfunctional and our representitives needs to be replaced.Left or right no longer matters. Our place as the leader in the world is being thrown away by the current administration, we look extremely weak and our enemies know it. The best Obama can do is call Snowden a hacker, Just take all of our secrets which by the way we have spent trillions of dollars on becoming a world power through military might and all you can do is not respond to the hacker, i expect more from our prsident.Dont ever expect the truth about the TWA Flight. Shaman-maybe we should waterboard some of our own to get at the truth, lets start with you know who.

"Sorry, folks. I was living in the NYC area at the time. The local media were all over the story first, interviewing multiple eyewitnesses who saw the missile.

Let's remember the ex-military Captain of another commercial flight who has seen missiles take out jets testify that he saw exactly that from his cockpit." - eriklatranyi

Once again the media has to sensationalize a story. Let the victims families be at peace. Nothing is going to bring their loved ones back and to have to relive it all over again is agonizing. Next they will be blaming Clinton for some big cover up. The first amendment is a great thing, I just wish the media knew how to exercise it responsibly. And to those "whistle blowers" I call you cowards if any of what you say is true.

From an ABC News story on this dated 6/20/13:

"Matt Zimkiewicz, who lost his sister on Flight 800, said in a letter to other families Wednesday that the renewed claims were "nauseating."

"This is really hurtful to people that are involved and intimately involved and lost a loved one," he said."

If they KNEW there was a cover-up...wouldn't they ALSO have to KNOW who "fired" that "missile"?????

Hmmmmmmmmmmm...sounds like a waterboarding-opportunity, to me!

Roll out the conspiracy theories. They fished so much of that plane off the FLOOR OF THE OCEAN, that they were able to reconstruct like 90% of the plane.

Has it ever occurred to you, that someone trying to "cover up" something probably wouldn't the largest, most extensive investigation in the history of the NTSB? Or that when there's an investigation of that size and scope, probably involving hundreds of investigators, that it's possible for some of the investigators to have differing opinions as to what happened?

"Whistleblowers"? C'mon now.
