This is a dilemma. Honestly, I'd like to know where such a large percentage of women find the time to be playing video games between job , housework and raising children.

I don't think the problem is not being able to model a character after one's self but wanting to do so and getting upset with something that IS NOT REAL!

PUT DOWN THE JOYSTICK, GO OUTSIDE AND START EXPERIANCING LIFE!!!!!

Jennifer, I understand your outrage but more importantly my concern lies with how violent these games are becoming and the effect they have on small children. Young children today are much more computer savvy and start playing these games at a much younger age and unfortunately there are a lot of parents that use these gaming devices as babysitters.

"Women represent one of the fastest growing groups of gamers, yet we are mistreated, threatened, belittled and deal with insults every time it's found out that we're women, because gaming is a boys club." - Jennifer Montz

You're participating in an activity, where you encounter males (who's development was fully-arrested at approximately 14-years-of-age)...guys who are constantly hearing that only wimps & Libs think-their-way-thru whatever situation...and, you're surprised?

I'd say you should (probably) develop a thicker-skin...or, pursue more-mature activities. Your "critics" MIGHT mature...in their mid-30s...but, I wouldn't hold my breath, if I was you.

That's like saying drugs/alcohol, food and exercising are responsible for addiction (to them).

No. All of these addictions/activities are merely SYMPTOMS of much-deeper/already-existing emotional problems.

I agree Shaman Libs could "ONLY" think-their-way-thru something based entirely on unrealistic scenarios.

From Brent Bozell's column......."Angry feminists can certainly criticize how many female characters are scantily clad and designed for sex appeal. They could argue that too many female characters not listed above are merely damsels in distress. They could argue that violent video games normalize or trivialize violence against women.

But that’s not what Rosenberg argued. She suggested female characters were nearly nonexistent. That, like so much of feminist boilerplate, is fraudulent."

Ms. Montz, I believe that Brent does value women as God's creation and that the are valuable and precious. He is alluding to the fact that sometimes it appears that "hyper-feminists" can go overboard on a few things.

It would be like me complaining that they don't build homes with urinals in them and that it is a se xist issue.

The virtual world is not politically correct. If the writer doesn't like that particular virtual world, then find a different one; or come back to the real one.

I'm sure that means something...to someone...or, at least sounds cryptic-enough (to the average T-Bagger) to make them think something profound was vocalized.

Women need to get into the development of the games. The games are fantasy, virtual fantasy.

Moms should be playing right along with their kids. That will quickly end any boys only club. My sister does with her sons and Mommy kicks butt, vitually and in the real world.

NPC. Non-Player Character. In general, any character (human or otherwise) in a role-playing game that is not controlled by someone playing the game.

I did a quick Google and found this
