You had do a little homework about the closing of wallis run as it had nothing to do with a gas industry truck and not to mention the bridge was half under construction when they had to close the other half because of failure too many people like you blast your negative mouth off with out doing any research

You don't actually believe that do you? Wallis Run Rd is a state road, paid for and maintained by my tax dollars and everyone else's tax dollars, as well as contributions from the federal government, there for it is a PUBLIC rd, open to anyone that cares to use it!

If you truly want it to be a private road, accessible only to the residents and their invited guests, then I suggest you contact the state about buying that property and maintaining it on your own---and that means the bridge, snow removal, safety, repairs as needed, etc. Only then can you tell anyone else that they do not have the right to use that road. Until then we can make a parade of vehicles going up and down that road over and over for 12 hrs a day if we so desire.

CX, I think Garben was saying that the gas companies have as much right to use that road as the other guy, regardless of whether they live there, especially since the author falsely blamed the trucks for the bridge damage.

Jack McKee, I agree with you 100%. Now if we could get the greedy out of our government, all the friends of the politicians, all of the politicians who own land studded with gas wells, I think we can, but good luck, that'll never happen! The politicians are making sinful amounts of money from hydraulic fracturing. However, I agree with you 100% that the state constitution is being violated. The ugliness in such a beautiful place is sickening in so many ways.

Wow, I commented on the letter and only then saw these comments. Get ready to disagree! The point I took away from Mr. McKee's letter was the fact that hydraulic fracturing is ruining our pristine environment is violating the PA state Constitution. I agree with that and will not pick and poke at the letter because I do not own gas wells, I'm not collecting obscene amounts of money from the gas companies. I can speak the truth. The fact is sad, the environment is being ruined, forests, streams etc., and EPA & DEP is obviously being paid to say otherwise. We found that out recently with a story in the Sun gazette. This has nothing to do with "tree hugging." The people who are fracking responsibly should be rewarded and the ones breaking the laws....send them packing!

If what many of you are saying about the EPA and DEP is true, then I'm glad to see that those of you that support big government are realizing the corruption that takes place. And it happens across all levels and agencies in government. And yes Mr. Shaman, that is an absolute!

So, another anti-domestic energy LTE that is loaded with lies.

The anti-domestic energy crowd has no argument, so they fabricate lies to support their delusional position.

Citizenx your about as misinformed as the lte I was clearly stating the gas companies have the same right to use wallis run rd as she or he does and the gas companies weren't the ones who caused the closure and if you want to disagree with the facts you had best call penn dot in montoursville and argue with them

And ps again it is disgusting that a few slobs had to litter rock run and have it shut down to camping long before big gas and oil got here and if you want to argue that get the facts from DCNR and you'll find it's been closed for years and they haven't drilled a hole up their yet

Hmm you may have one point though citizenx maybe we should a ban together and buy all the land and roads and you'd have no reason to worry about our pristine land which is being diminished more by housing developments then gas pads
