Mr. Zook you are the one who is blind and a true hypocrite. What Bush did in office was far worse than what Obama has done.

Chris I still contend that what Bush did was not worthy of impeach nor what Obama has done.

" Mr. Zook there was a call to impeach Bush.

I said there wasn't and still stand by that."

There absolutely were calls to impeach President Bush Chuck. Many people felt he should be impeached for egregious violations of the US War Crimes Act of 1996, that actually carried the death penalty for U officials that ordered torture if the subsequent torture resulted in death.

The Bush administration themselves were terrified of their legal culpability under that law, and pushed Congress to pass the Military Tribunals Act,which sections of, undid much of the US War Crimes Act.

If you don't think people wanted President Bush impeached, you are mistaken. And I think a death penalty offense pretty easily clears the bar for "high crimes and misdemeanors".

You would compare Bush 43's handling of Clinton's failing economy, 9-11's drag on the economy, The Afghan and Iraq wars and a 165 billion debt at the end of 2007 to what your Usurper-in-Chief has done to this country? Blind, blind, blind.

Mr. Zook there was a call to impeach Bush.

I said there wasn't and still stand by that. Obama is not even close to what Bush did. Bush was more insidious.

I'd note that conservatives might have a moral leg to stand on, if they were somehow trying to say that the current surveillance isn't insidious enough. I could just simply disagree with them on that. But this sudden, complete and total makeover is absolutely too ridiculous to ANYONE that's been even intermittently lucid since 2001.

Ridiculous.

Jean Fuller LOVED president Bush, and wrote MANY letters supporting his administration. Jean Fuller LOVED President Bush's warrantless wiretap program, that actually eavesdropped on the content of the communications of American citizens.

Suddenly Jean Fuller has done a shocking 180, and OPPOSES the current program that doesn't "wiretap" and citizen's communications without a warrant.

I mean what exactly is suddenly different? The old program didn't collect metadata? You better rethink that, because the court warrant allowing that collection goes back SEVEN years.

Conservatives were absolutely, madly in love with FAR more insidious surveillance, before they hated it. Do they think they've somehow stuffed that information down the memory hole?

"What is it with you Libs? It's all blame, blame, blame, Bush, Cheney, the dangerous TEA party, Reagan, Bush, Bush, Bush and more Bush. If Bush tried to do one- one hundredth of what the Dictator-in-Chief is doing, there would have been calls for impeachment by the end of 2009." - JohnZook

You're naive to think this isn't bigger than the President of the United States.

Yes, Snowden did everyone a favor by telling us what we should have already known, we're being watched, from every electronic device we have. There is very few things that are genuinely free and private. Because that isn't the world we live in anymore.
