A police officer in Hawthorne, California shot a man’s dog recently. It was not done as self defense in any means. The video is up all over the internet....

There are numerous contributing factors as to why this ended up as a tragedy. The ultimate blame should be on the owner for failing to properly secure the dog.

I'm going to have to agree to disagree.

Shooting a dog period in this situation seems a bit unnecessary. #1, don't you have a tazer?

#2. 4-5 times are you kidding me?

If someone shot you 4-5 times they'd be on trial for 1st degree murder...just saying.

Because it's an animal of course it makes it less severe. Because it's a cop that used his gun, it makes it okay...

right...... Again, this kind of explains some of the problems in Williamsport as well..the whole "Power Trip Syndrome".
