I agree with Rick424's entire post, and I hope Obama/Holder agree with his first paragraph.

Have a good day, Rick. Go Dolphins!

The response to my request for an invitation to the next Tea Party meeting was underwhelming.

I'm sincere in my desire to attend.

This to me is a double-edged sword. I don't think the wrong decision was made by any means. However at the same time, my fear is that this is going to open the door to 'vigilante style neighborhood justice'. It's a sad story all around a 'misguided' kid if you will making a bad decision and paying for it with his life.

My thoughts and sympathies go out to his family.

I think the right call was made in this case, however I am hopeful that it doesn't encourage people from neighborhoods every where to take the law into their own hands.

This is done, move on and stop poking the bear.

And for the record no one said the gas industry had anything to do with this.

I suggest you take a look at the article in the Independent Journal Review "The phot that the media didn't want you to see" and then tell me that this was just a little kid in a hoodie. Photo is from a market video camera the night he tangled with Zimmerman. Why is this photo only now being shown? www(dot)ijreview(dot)com There was obviously an agenda for this case by someone or there would not have been a doctored 911 call played by the media and we would have seen a current photo of Martin. He is easily over six feet tall. He towers over the clerk.

That's easy USAborn, this president is by far, the most racist President that the United States has EVER had! He's using Trayvon Martin's death as a trump card to get his gun agenda pushed through. Funny thing is, George Zimmerman will get his firearm back now that he's been acquitted! Never let a good crisis go to waste!

13-month old "white-hispanic" Antonio Santiago shot and killed (in Georgia) by 17 year old De'Marquise Elkins.

No tweets from Hollywood, no statement from Obama.

Where's the outrage?

Well, I see where Dumbama is now going to have his clown Holder USE the Justice Dept to investigate Zimmerman.

He wants GZ convicted one way or another, so getting him on a HATE CRIME or CIVIL RIGHTS VIOLATION could get him life in prison.

Dumbama doesn't like losing......

A comment I ran across:

"A quick question that I hope someone can answer. If Trayvon Martin is what the president's son would look like if he had one, doesn't it stand to reason that his daughters should look like Rachel Jeantel, yet they don't? This president is losing all credibility with me."

With the defense's presentation, the evidence was not there to convict him of either second degree murder or manslaughter. Once Zimmerman's bloody/busted nose, facial abrasions and back head wound pictures surfaced, it was pretty much over, at least for the second degree murder charge. As for the manslaughter charge? I believed the jury was going to convict him of something because they feared "mob rule, in lieu of their legal responsibility. As it turned out, justice was served. As I said, had this been a white boy, this discussion wouldn't be happening and that in and of itself is sad. For goodness sakes, folks, do you think that racism is only applied by whites towards blacks? It's as if there is no other ethnic groups on this planet.

Francine,

Because I am at home and my husband works only part time (now that he's 74) just started that two years ago :), we were able to watch a good bit of the trial. The subject of Zimmerman following Travon keeps rearing its head. It is not a crime to follow someone. He didn't break any laws. There were witnesses that supported Zimmerman's testimony. That's not to speak of his national television interview with 60 min. I believe. He was composed then, he was at the trial. He did not set out to "kill" the 17 year old. He was on neighborhood watch, period. I might as well say this because no one else seems to be. The infamous "hoodie" clearly raised suspicion as it does me, white black or green. It is called "hoodie" for a reason. All races wear them, so loose the racist inference. If you listen to the 911 call, you will also hear the dispatcher ask Zimmerman what his race was and he replied, "black, I THINK."

Sorry thepaycheck, Hate to disappoint you but the gas industry had nothing to do with this besides I did not comment on this one yet. I heard something about the vague law for shooting people in Florida and figure this would be the outcome.I am curious as to where all those people talking about the race card and were for sure he would be found guilty unlike OJ. I guess you were wrong. As for the trial, so be it, time to move on. It was a beautiful day today for sure.

In an effort to attribute a position to me that I have already rejected you repost a question from 8:09 am and repost that I answered that question at 7:50am.

"Nice try. But I'm not able to time travel."

Just because the two comments were switched around, doesn't negate your comments!

Nice try tho!

"There are ONLY 3 streets in that whole gated community!"

Several hundred houses and only 3 streets? According to testimony, new sections (streets) had been added.

"Oh. Then why do you want Zimmerman attacked for no reason at all?"

8:09 AM

I never said I wanted him attacked. Please don't put words in my mouth.

7:50 AM

"Justice would be if everyday for the rest of George Zimmerman's life, he was followed by strangers everywhere he went, never knowing if today was going to be the day one of those strangers was going to cross the line and attack him for no reason at all."

Hmmmmmm......6 of 1 and half dozen of another!

Francine, The answer to your question is yes. He wasn't a kid and hearing him call GZ a "Cracker" on the phone call would even classify his attack against GZ a hate crime.
