Was it racism?

July 21, 2013

Is Attorney General Eric Holder using the Zimmerman trial as a way to take away our guns and the Second Amendment? Here I quote this amendment; “A well regulated Militia, being necessary to the......

Good letter Ida. But isn't it sad, that in the last 5 years Obama has set race relations back at least 50 years? It all seems to be part of a "divide and conquer" strategy on his part. And with the c r a p going on from coast to coast, and his continued and constant racist comments, it appears to be working.

Does anyone remember all the riots and protests after OJ was acquitted of murdering Nichole Brown and Ron Goldman?

Me either.

Of course not Mike. Racism is a one way street in this country. That case couldn't have been more cut and dry for two counts of murder. Yet an all black jury nullified the obvious verdict and many in the black community agreed with their decision. A black man brutally murders two innocent white people, and the black community feels this is ok and OJ got justice. Here you have a Hispanic man killing a black man in self defense and it's racism.

The Obama Administration is pivoting on the Zimmerman case to gun control and "stand your ground" laws nationwide.

See, liberal liars say stand your ground allows whites to murder blacks.

But the law allows blacks to use stand your ground as well.

In fact, in Florida, over 33% of all stand your ground cases involve a black shooter, defending their life, family and property.

Blacks only make up 18% of Florida's population.

So, when Attorney General Eric Holder (who gave guns to drug cartels) gives speeches against stand your ground laws, he is condemning black citizens to murder, assault and robbery.

Protect stand your ground laws and protect minorities everywhere!

Liberals like Holder do not believe in the right to self-defense.

These are the people who oppose private ownership of any weapons.

These are the people who oppose resisting purse snatchers and robbers by telling us our property is not more important than our life.

These are the people who tell rape victims to urinate, defecate, vomit on their rapist. If that doesn't work, they tell rape victims not to resist and allow the rapist to finish.

This is not leadership by liberals who want a better society, but one where criminal have free reign and honest citizens cower in helpless terror.

"Yet an all black jury..."

I don't think that's true. Otherwise, spot on.

"In my humble opinion, the rioting is not a protest against a jury's decision but a reason to destroy businesses, steal, and burn things that the rioters do not have but want without earning them."

Of all the protest marches (some say as many as 100 across the country) I've only read of one "riot". That being in LA. And then, only a small percent of the protesters were involved. I believe that many of those individuals were just losers taking advantage of the situation. And I also believe most of the black population in this country believe OJ was as guilty as a three dollar bill.

"Why are Holder, the president, entertainers, and some networks, speaking up for the second amendment and out against the rioting that is taking place because of the Zimmerman trial?"

Did any of you read this at all?

One riot in LA equals riots across the nation. So in Ida's and others opinion peaceful marches and demonstrations over perceived injustice is rioting.

"Farmer you obviously didn't watch and listen to black communities across the nation celebrating when OJ was set free."

There are members of the black community that were shocked he got away with it.

Let us not forget the many riots agaonst blacks lead by whites in the era before civil rights. Take a good look at what white communities did to blacks in their community. Destroying homes and businesses, killing people.

Very true Mr. Reeder but we have risen above that now. How long do we have to answer for and pay for our mistakes in the past and how long is that going to be used as an excuse?

Discrimination against Native Americans is the longest held racism in the United States.

I've dealt with racism since I was a small child, my Grandfather told me once "Do not wrong your neighbor for it is not he that you wrong but yourself".

Racism is an ugly part of human nature.

Listen, it's just my opinion but the NCAAP and other such organizations are part of the the Race issue. Not because of their existence, but at times, because of the way they display their existence. Every issue, EVERY ISSUE, seems to have to be about race. It can't just be about right and wrong, it has to be about "this guy slighted me because I'm black/asian/hispanic, etc.

I'm not saying it doesn't happen, because I'm sure it does but we just don't hear about it as much but I don't hear a lot of "they discriminated against me because I'm white".

I'm sure it happens a lot more than I realize in fact.

But my point is, we should all be working together for a better America, not assuming that every action because of the color of your skin.

"Here's my point, the color of your skin doesn't determine the person you are. The PERSON YOU ARE determines the PERSON YOU ARE."

That reminds me of a Bible verse that was posted on my church bulletin board for many years.....

A MAN IS NOT WHAT HE THINKS HE IS BUT WHAT HE THINKS HE IS.
