Can’t please ‘em!

July 26, 2013

People are complaining about the heat and the humidity, they gripe about the rain, the snow, the oil prices in the winter, wow! The only ones I feel sorry for are the seniors who don’t turn on their......

"The President's war on coal will drive those electric bills even higher." - GysgtUSMC

Maybe you hadn't heard, yet...it's 2013, presently.

"Federal regulations have hastened the move from coal to natural gas. But ABUNDANT and CHEAP shale gas has SPED UP that transition. That’s a boon to BOTH the economy and the environment, although one that does not obviate the need for utilities to hold a mix of generation assets."

..with a complaint about complainers. Sometimes it appears this poster sits around and thinks up things to get her name in print. Clouds the issue.

Her "point" would have carried a lot more weight if she'd just commented that we should be concerned with the elderly, continually check on them and offer help when needed. Why start out with a complaint ab

It seems to me Donna, that pretty much all you do is gripe.

The ones that bother me are the ones that complain about the litter all over the ground, the crime in the city, or how 'dull' the city is, but yet won't help clean up the litter, won't testify or get involved in Neighborhood Watch Groups, or won't help repaint and/or revitalize their community.

DO SOMETHING ABOUT IT instead of just sitting around complaining about it.

I think this is the point of her letter......people who suffer while others just set around and complain. The weather was just an example.

"The only ones I feel sorry for are the seniors who don't turn on their AC because they can't afford to. In the winter, they keep their thermostats down to save money on oil or whatever they have."

They might be, I didn't. I get the point of her letter 'stop griping about the weather' there are people who are less fortunate that don't even own a/c's.

But it is exactly that a complaint about a complaint.

Ms. Lambert, I appreciate & understand your concerns. Having said that this is the 2nd LTE that I really feel is of very trivial value. I think there's a lot larger complaints about crime, roads, jobs, etc than there are about weather.

If someone wants to complain about the weather that's their right. Sometimes it is too darn hot, sometimes it is too darn cold. Who cares.
