Francine - 6:59 PM

"I agree with many of your numerous posts GysgtUSMC. And with a handle like GysgtUSMC, and the sheer volume of posts you make, GysgtUSMC will remain the Highest Rated User until someone else comes in with a more loveable/honorable/patriotic handle. I completely agree with anonymity on here, but I sometimes wonder if using a handle that begs to be applauded isn't a bit manipulative."

Francine, Gunny gets a lot more agrees then you do. Are you jealous? What business is it of yours if he uses GysgtUSMC as his handle? He gave a very large part of his life as a Marine defending your right to sound like a jerk.

I would much rather read his worthwhile comments then your mostly worthless ones.

I have no idea who gunny is, but you owe him an apology!

Talk about manipulation, you should quit trying to manipulate the rest of us into getting rid of him. That's the way liberals act.

"Do yourself and the rest of us a favor by putting a bullet through your head" - what a vile and disgusting thing to say.

Gysgt - Don't stop. You have great comments. The LTE's have trolls much like every site. There are those you classify as irrelevant. Skip their comments and keep stepping to those who try to make reasonable comments or arguments. All sides of any argument are worth consideration. We all know who would be "kicked off the island" first, if we were a reality show.

Francine,

What did God do with the Flood, Sodom & Gomorrah, Jericho, Ananias, Sapphira, etc?

When the morality hits low enough level, He implements justice.

Oh trust me Francine I won't be joining with any handle. The likes of Shaman and a couple others takes the enjoyment out of sharing thoughts and opinions. There are plenty of other forums out there that aren't polluted with the likes of him. He has the right to post here but it doesn't mean I have to be a part of it. Have a good night.

Uh Sham, you condemned Carl for using the word "never" in his post, then stated, "They NEVER really serve any purpose...." Use "liberal-absolutes" much?

Yeah...what's happened to the entertainment-value of publicly-punishing people?? Ya' must really miss those "traditional"-days of stoning.

Yeah...right...we "need" to do something about all-o'-those "unlimited"-appeals, right??

*

Ah, yes..."never"! That's what we "need"...more o' those "conservative-absolutes"!!!

They never really serve any purpose...least of all, accuracy...but, they give you folks a sense of participating...without all the "muss"-and-fuss of (actually) thinking.

After reading some of these comments on here it sounds like some people need to get a life and stop trying to be everyone's hero.

Sideliner,

Yes there should be different punishment for users and dealers; we should follow ways to restore users to some level of normalcy.

Capital punishment is probably too severe for dealers (unless, they murder someone) but it makes you wonder if punishment was stepped up some that maybe it could become more of a deterrent for both users and dealers. Maybe the caning option is more palatable!

It is not a simple issue.

Shammy you stated "Yeah...we wouldn't want to "waste" too-much time, learning from the past." Liberals never learn lessons of the past. They'd rather keep repeating the same old tired mistakes over, and over, and over again. sideliner - You are absolutely correct, "it's like a continuing battle of Whack-a-Mole and does nothing to get at root causes or actually solve a major problem." Got to rip out the root if you want to fix the problem. Libs and Cons both share a false premise of with regards to criminal behavior. Both share a common root blaming factors outside the criminal himself. Since America has removed morality, personal responsibility and conscience from the public sphere there has been a systematic erosion of both external (punishment) and internal restraints (morality) on individual behavior. Individual conscience and morality have been deadened and crime control has amounted to giving endless “second chances” to those who commit crimes.

@ texas... "Make drug dealing a capital offense punishable by death, even for the small pusher."

That was said in sarcasm, correct? You can't really be serious.

Are you aware that the AMA has classified addiction as a real and treatable disease. A medical condition. So you are suggesting that sufferers of this disease should be jailed?" - sideliner

*

Ya' gotta figure...back in the "good ol' days" (The Dark Ages)...people, like ToTEXASfromPA, had a tendency to burn epileptics & schizophrenics at-the-stake, for being "possessed".

Old habits die, hard.

I look forward to seeing you. Oh and you can bring all the like minded liberals friends that you want. I'm sure they all could use an education in respect." - GysgtUSMC

Mr. Shaman, It's a good thing people like GySgt were/are willing to defend this country AND your rights, some giving thier lives to do it, so that you can exercise your free speech on here. I guess you were never taught what respect is, huh?
