Water well testing play big step forward for Lycoming County

Agreed that the water testing is a positive. But it's not for "elements known to be used by the industry'. It will be for elements like barium and strontium, which are found in flow-back and produced water ... not "fresh" fracking fluid. That is, elements found in greater concentration at gas drilling depth which sometimes "leak" into drinking water aquifers via faulty gas well casings, horizontal drilling intersection with abandoned gas wells, and surface spills.
