I agree with Capricorn1 that the most recent shooting (church parking lot) may not be the subject of this letter.

So race is a petty thing. And yet it keeps popping up. -Reeder

Ask yourself who keeps making it an issue and I'm sure you will see your other four fingers are pointing back to you. Race should not be a left/right issue, yet the left tries to bring race to many issues it doesn't belong. It seems like when the facts aren't there to support their "cause", the race card is then played.

Letters written to the editor often take awhile to publish. I believe the shooting the letter writer and Francine is referring to is the one on Scott St.

Stop the insanity. This was a white-on-white, serious, domestic incident. wwhickok is correct.

This LTE should not have been written nor printed. It just adds fuel to the fire. I hope this is the last posting for this LTE today. Let's put a lid on it and move along.

PLEASE.

"I see another shooting in the city. With all the racism out there, I wonder if anyone is going to plead for the people in this case. Or is it "all good because they are the same race"? The real fact of the matter is white, black, pink or blue, we all bleed red. So quit screaming about the petty things like race and do your part." - Thomas Hurley

If you're referring-to the domestic-shooting, what would you suggest?

Is it possible we'll (finally) be able to jettison the term "the weaker sex"???

Francince, You're wrong. The 'assailant' was NOT black, I'm not sure where you're getting your information but you've got a very bad source.

Again, Francine, the point was, let's not make this about race, let's focus on the crime.

First of all, to be fair, this shooting was not gang or drug related like the other shootings. It was most likely a 'girlfriend caught the boyfriend cheating and went insane' situation.

My wife knows the shooter and said "she always did seem a little off". My wife wasn't surprised by her actions at all. Personally I can't speak on the shooter, I don't know her.

Not being a drug/gang related shooting doesn't make it any less tragic.

What racism is she talking about? And who brought it up in this or other cases like this?
