Regarding the allegations that the Sun-Gazette's editorial policies and political cartoons are unfair to the administration, in the immortal words of the late, great Ann Landers, "Kwitcherbellyachin......

Texas, I mean that I would likely not find any political cartoon pointing out our glorious emperor's asinine behavior the least bit offensive.

If you don't like the news the way the SG reports it then go buy the other Williamsport newspaper.

Oh wait, nevermind.

How quickly people forget that when GWB was lambasted in the press, on the editorial pages and in political cartoons what did republicans do? They cried foul, unfair, disrespectful and call it 'in poor taste'. They even went so far as saying the paper was too left leaning for the area.

People may remember how GWB was treated by the 'media' but they sure do not remember how they took it. It wasn't in stride.

As a liberal I find many of the political cartoons even the ones about Obama downright hilarious. I did find some that crossed the line in 'taste' but not that often.

It started out to be a good letter then went down the rabbit hole of conservative whining about GWB and liberal media.

"When it comes to mocking the chosen one I find "respect" to be the least of my worries. That PoS hasn't done anything to earn any."

This is why the right will not get any respect.

Sideliner, I agree to a point but the Sun Gazette also goes after Capanana when it's deserved and he is a Conservative. But the point you made regarding what is published in the editorial section most times is correct. Just like many main stream media outlets are left leaning.

Looking objectively over time at the SG's editorials, columnists, and cartoons, one would have to say it is right leaning. But in a free press world, the SG has every right to lean any way it wants to on opinion based articles. Newspapers editorials usually reflect the views of its readership and this area is particularly right leaning and conservative.

With that said, it would be refreshing, bold, and show confidence to see opposing opinions from other-thinking columnists. In this area the SG is lacking.

Well...you certainly aren't going to find "anything" in the S-G.

LeisureSuitLarry,

Your comments are a little vague, fuzzy, and ambiguous. Maybe you could be a little more direct next time. :-)
