How long is this work going to last? I only ask because it seems that lately every year right around LLWS 180 between Wpt. and the mall is down to one lane for some stretch. Isn't Lycoming Mall one of the big attractions touted to visitors for LLWS? Even if it's not pushed as an attraction, it's still our only mall, plus Target, etc. It seems silly that they would constrict traffic flow to the mall when we expect a whole lot of visitors to this area who may be looking for things to do. Of course PennDot planning has never made much sense.

I see the article ends that it's "scheduled" to be back to normal by LLWS week. Well, the best laid plans... Hopefully.
radioactive, service roads next to the highways in Texas? Tell me how these service roads circumnavigate bridges? And how do they work in the mountainous regions of Texas? I'm not saying Penndot is full of brainiacs, but I'm pretty sure your concept is poorly thought out in its application to Pennsylvania's geography. Also, having traveled throughout this country, I can tell you that Pennsylvania's roads are not even in the lower quarter in condition.

Yep, another year that the world will look in upon Lycoming county for the LLWS and 180 and 15 are under repair yet again. Why can't these things be done in the spring? (I understand that 15 has been ongoing for years and looks like it will be more years before they get done!) And, as for 180 needing yearly work, it is almost like a slush fund for Hawbaker, isn't it?
Hahaha, I thought the Hawbaker slush fund was 15 between the split & Trout Run!
Taco I would have to disagree with your assessment of PA road conditions compared to other states. According to Statemaster dot com, (a statistical database website) PA ranks 5th in the nation for the number of roads classified in the fair and poor categories.
