MrShaman sounds and appears like it would make a good name for a douche oops anyways I just listen or read the way their names appear on the news or in the paper and that's how I determine whether what race just committed the crime with out ever physically seeing them now is this racial profiling?

Did he make a comment about me or my comment? I didn't notice since I skip over about half of his posts most of the times. Maybe I'll go back and look.

For some reason criminals think it's OK to steal from others, shoot them, etc. I'd like to know what makes them think this way.

I want a 10" tablet, so I'm putting a little money back each week until I have enough. It will take a while, but I can be patient. What makes someone else think they can just shoplift one, or take it from someone else? I'd love to know the answer.

The breakdown of the family is the major cause of poverty and crime. How about this? Get an education, get a job, get married and then have kids. But, because Rick Santorum said it, it is considered extreme.

"Instead of profiling people, why don't we look at the real crime cause."

And then Tara goes on to list imaginary causes of crime. Liberals imagine that somehow society as a whole has to be responsible for crimes committed by individuals. There is one and only one cause of crime and that is selfishness. A person who puts their wants above the rights of others will commit crimes to fulfill those wants. When people understand this, maybe they will stop teaching kids to be selfish.

Gavin has hit the nail on the head. stop trying to come up with reasons or excuses for why people of any color commit crimes. i think they all know the difference between right and wrong. poor education and other negative circumstances are good excuses for doing wrong? really? I think not.

What would Sham do without anecdotal evidence? If he can find one liberal excuse for the point he's trying to make, he'll use it, no matter how foolish he looks.

Hey...c'mon...that's "fairly"-obviously a Limbaugh-factoid.

You DARE question the veracity of THE Spokespig of The Republican Party??!!!

You're OBVIOUSLY unaware of El Fatso's track-record (...at least, "conservatives" are BANKING-on-that.)

Living in poverty and the lack of supervision and role models provided by having both parents living in the home and involved with the financial and moral support leads to crime. The declining moral values are a part of the whole equation. If you want to fix the problem, you have to start at the root of the problem. So the police are searching for a bank robber and got a description of a white male 6' 1" 220 with tats so they now have to search for a non white, anorexic, vertically challenged women?

Wow, crime never sounded so good.

"Lack of education and opportunities, mental illness which includes drug and alcohol abuse, poor economic situations...."

I call BS on most of this.

Everyone has an opportunity to receive a high school education. Some try hard to learn a lot to open opportunities later in life; some waste it.

Certain mental illness may contribute to crime but drug and alcohol are a personal choice. Avoid them if they will get you into problems.

Poor economic conditions at the extreme might lead to a desperation to steal food to feed your family but in the US, we have some many nets to help people live and survive. There are welfare programs, food stamps, housing subsidies, charitable organizations that help. The poor in the US are richer than 90% of those in the world.

The reason we have crime is lack of morals, secular humanism, and destruction of the family unit.
