Pinecr here you go again with your gas bull crap are you some one who is dead set on being dependent on foreign oil? I've noticed with the people I chat with the only complainers are those with no land or mineral rights so where do you fall in?

A new terminal is def. not necessary. And you can say you are building this with a grant, but in the end it is taxpayer money, so lets call it like it is. I would say the gas industry wants this so it will be, no mater what the cost to the taxpayer. And I am already upset that Act 13 money is going to be used...that money is for areas being hammered by the gas industry so the roads can be fixed, etc. Route 44 North is in terrible shape and yet, you guessed it, there is no money to fix the roads, even though there is 24-7 gas industry traffic on it. Once again, the people that truly need the money get screwed.

A waste of money? The airport desperately needs updated. You say that you fly out of other cities becuse IPT isn't accomodating enough (only one carrier) but when they propose to increase capacit you shrug it off. The morning and late day flight schedule is there to service business travelers. This isn't about today, it's building for the cities future and making sure it has the infrastructure to support it. If the building currently needs 100k a year in repairs, what will it be in 5, 10, 15 years out? Also, Philadelphia, Atlanta, Jacksonville, Austin, Phoenix, and more all have rocking chairs.

I fly a little bit and have done my share of dragging luggage across airport parking lots. While I'll agree that the Williamsport airport terminal is not very pretty, it is one of the most convenient airports I've every encountered. Long term parking is easily reached within a short walk and short term parking, if you're picking up or dropping off a traveler is less than a 100 feet from the baggage claim area. If a new terminal is built, you can bet you walk to long term parking will triple and the TSA will get anal about where you can short term park as well. Where else in America can you sit in a rocking chair in the airport terminal and watch the planes land? I like the Williamsport terminal just the way it is. It feels like a hometown airport when you arrive.

What a waste of money - I fly regularly and since Williamsport has such a poor selection of flights to Philly (typically only 2-3 and normally early or late in the day) I usually have to drive to State College or Harrisburg. Just remember that the airlines get a multimillion dollar subsidy just for our current level of poor service. Somehow if anyone thinks that additional airlines want to fly out of Williamsport they must be living in a dream.

A new terminal is absolutely unnecessary. It's just another $3 million to borrow from some other country!

I flew in and out of the terminal in May and it was plenty adequate; it was fit for purpose.
