August 10, 2013

A suburban Philadelphia county defying Pennsylvania’s marriage law issued its 100th same-sex license Friday, just weeks after opening the courthouse door to gay men and women....

Ha, they removed one of my other comments. Probably because I had instructions on how to procreate. That was the only marginally offensive thing in that post. Or else they didn't like the Adam and Eve vs. Adam and Steve line.

No, I'm just an equal opportunity offender. I throw the alien thing in there to go against biblical creationism. I was raised religious, but have fallen out of touch with it for some time now. Though I still hold dear some of the basic principals, one being marriage is a man and woman, and men shalt not lie with other men, etc. I just found the nickname funny, regardless of the game of the same name.

Larry... you are familiar with the game yet you still use the name while championing sexual morality. I have a hard time believing that your comments and opinions are genuine based on that. Well that and the aliens.

Yeah, I know, traditional Judeo-Christian values are surly going down the toilet with the rest of society. Sad that it's come to this, but if you and yours like living in a sewer I guess that's your prerogative.

Larry, thanks for being open and honest. I'm guessing alot more folks around here think the same as you and just don't have the guts to say it.

Thanks also for quickly becoming a relic...the times, they are a'changin and I'll be glad when you and all of those that think like you are gone. Can't come soon enough!

cont'd the media, the government, etc. trying to force everyone to accept it as a legitimate and proper lifestyle.

It's been around forever, unfortunately it's one of those things the extra-terrestrials failed to get worked out of our genetic makeup in all of their meddling with ancient life on this rock. And in all of that time, or a good deal of it, it was fine and dandy in the closet (where it belongs).

Leave me screen name out of this. Fact of the matter is, I had a blue leisure suit that I wore to a few company gatherings and some co-workers gave me the nickname since I looked considerably like the video game character, not so much that I emulated him in any other way. I'm familiar with the game.

Whether you are a believer or not, homosexuality is just wrong. Something is mis-wired in the brain, similar to the myriad of mental disorders we have in the world today. There is no reason for members of the same sex to be attracted to one another, nothing good can come from it. The sole purpose of having 2 different sexes is procreation. I know, I know, you proponents of gay marriage like to say how there are tons of people who get married with no intent of having kids - so what! The option is still there.

Most of us who oppose gay marriage really don't give a crap what anyone's sexual preference or tendencies are. We are simply just sick and tired of the left, the media, co

djzlucky,

The Bible was not written to provide a complete historical account of all people and every event. The Bible doesn't say but I believe that we could reasonable conclude that all of Adam and Eve's children were not mentioned.

Concerning forgiveness and acceptance of people, I am no better than others. I have sinned and am in need of a savior and His forgiveness. I accept others. God forgives; God is the God of second chances.

If I would see someone about to step off a curb into the path of a vehile, I wold try to help in some manner. God has told us that homose xu al behavior is wrong. I believe it is similar to stepping off a curb into the path of a vehicle. If someone would see me committing sinful behavior, I hope that they would intervene in my life. I may not like it at first but I would eventually realize that they were concerned for me and had my best interests at heart. I hope that you realize that some of us that post on his topic are truly concerned

I find it funny that someone who goes by the screen name "leisuresuitlarry" is making comments on sexual impropriety.

Larry and Texas, Adam and Eve had Cain and Abel...where did the rest of humanity come from? Seems to me humans have been practicing what you all would consider immoral love since time began. There have been numerous civilizations in history that were much more forgiving and open. We'll see what the march of time has in store for us

djzlucky,

Concerning MLK and Rosa Parks, they were standing up for God's moral law. Man's laws of discrimination were contrary to God's laws.

God has established the traditional family, male and female totally committed to each other (married), to become one. Their biological features are matched and as a result, they can perpetuate mankind with children. Adultery, pedophilia, polygamy, s e x outside of marriage, and homosexuality all war against God's plan. God has created us and knows what is best for us.

Rick424,

A number of times, you have been educated on what God's word says about this issue. You continue to turn your back on it and trash it. I am relatively confident that PA will legalize marriages, male to male and female to female, at some time. If you think it is winning, then fine, enjoy. If it ever gets to the point where you feel it is a hollow victory then remember that God is a God of second chances. He desires to have us all back and have a relationship with all of us. Concerning who wins, you might check out the book of Revelation in the Bible; Christ returns, throws Satan into the pit, and the believers are reunited with Him. I hope that you are part of this.

Larry, no one is "forcing" anything on anyone. You have the right to love any person you wish. Why deny that right to your fellow Pennsylvanians?

Texas, should we have been appalled and outraged at Dr. King or Rosa Parks? How about the Boston Tea Party folks? This country has a fine tradition of civil disobedience and Mr. Banes has added his name to the list of those on the right side of history.

Oh, I forgot, this is just the start. Once the republican administration falls in this state and it will, this will pass and it will be legal in this state. It is a shame that friends of mine had to go to Vermont to get married. Face it, you lost and I am happy you lost. Have a nice day :-)

I am convinced, republicans are pure jerks and need to go away and keep religion out of politics. Hey Texas you forgot the great argument about marrying animals. Give me a break.

Right on Texas. Though I hope PA stays strong and doesn't go the way of the degenerate states that have forced that lifestyle on their citizenry as appropriate.

No matter whether you are for or against legalizing homosexual marriages, all should be appalled and outraged that a government official can take it upon themselves to unilaterally break the law. What is next? Maybe they will issue marriage licenses for a mother and son or multiple wives for a man or underage child to an adult!

Outright disregard for the law should not be allowed and this person should be arrested and convicted. If PA wants to legalize marriage for homosexuals, let the people of the state decide through the legislative process.
