When I left Williamsport on 21 March 1969 for basic training and when I came home from 2 tours in Vietnam no one cared except my family. It is more dangerous on the streets of Philadelphia or Chicago than in Kuwait. These people are all volunteers so why are they making front page news. They are GIs as we were back then. Stop making them out to be something they are not heroes. A hero jumps on a grenade and saves his or her buddies, not just for serving. 48 members from Lycoming County were killed in Vietnam and none of them made the front page. Stop the hero worshiping.
