The minority rules in opening of Weaver’s position

August 16, 2013

Majority rules. That is what the history books and many laws state, anyway. That is the American way. It is a principle the country was founded upon....

Just wondering, Chris...as a good journalist, I'm sure you got both sides of the story and printed all the facts, correct?? However, I know for fact that isn't true...too bad, I guess the truth will be told someplace else. Nice one-sided article!

Much better potrayal of my former coach than the initial article and what appears to have happened in montgomery. Many will thank you!

It's high time these "know it alls" are put in their place. They think they can do no wrong. Well the are wrong! Whiners and complainers are the ones that should be CUT, not the coach. Coaches like this are the best. They are very hard to find and the vast majority of kids will suffer because of a few cry babies and parents that should be banned from the games. WAKE UP PARENTS, WE CAN'T ALLOW THIS TO GO ON ANY LONGER!!!

Very nice article Chris! You NAILED it! The select school board members, parents and administration that are behind this are only hurting the other athletes that want to be successful and learn from a great coach. I hope they come to their senses and realize that coach Weaver is the person for the job and the MAJORITY would agree with that.

Great article, Chris. Thank you, but sadly, the ones who need the lesson--the parents and their whiney bratty kids won't see themselves in it. Nope, they are convinced he is a bad man because he demands performance and is trying to teach them a life lesson that there are failures along the way and failure is a great lesson. It teaches us to work harder to get what we want and it teaches us that we may not be suited for a particular role and we need to look for another role. Not every singer is a Pavarotti, not every baseball player is a Mantle and not everything you try will be successful.

Well written and spot on Chris. I too played for old school coaches and to this day they are my favorites. I've always said the teams biggest cheerleader is their coach. It is a sad day when minority rules
