Enigma, I think that you were speaking generally when talking about J e w s; there are messianic j e w s (or messianic jud aism) that believe in Jesus/Trinity.

Both Christians and Muslims believe that God/Allah created and sustain the universe, earth, mankind, plants, animals, etc.

Muslims believe that Allah is one. Christians believe that God is one God (one nature, one being, one character, one essence) but in three persons, called the Father, the Son, and The Holy Spirit.

Muslims believe they must earn their way to salvation through works and deeds; they have a performance based relationship. Christians believe that God the Son (Jesus) paid the debts of their sins and bad deeds through his death on the cross. Christians have a loving, thankful (unmerited favor) relationship with God.

Enigma, I find that responding to you is like trying to nail jello to a wall. There are others on this forum that I find fit into that same category. I gave up on the jello a long time ago. I should have learned from that. experience.

DavidBross,"A similar argument can be that Jews believe in a god..."

Do you not have the courage to tell us that is your argument? You like to come into these discussions and offer possible arguments. Take a stand David. Tell us what you think without hiding it behind some pseudo intellectual posturing. Have the courage of your convictions. If you hate the God of the Bible, come out and say it. Man up! How do you expect us to have any respect for your opinions, when you won't even claim them as your opinions? If you don't have enough confidence in them to stand by them, why should we pay them any mind? Now David, tell us what you think. If you will state it as your opinion, I promise to give it a fair hearing.

Many Christians, Jews, and Muslims say they all believe in the same God. Other Christians, Jews, and Muslims say that it is not so. Certainly doesn't seem like a settled issue in the community of believers. "Muslims believe in a god that was created by Mohammed." A similar argument can be that Jews believe in a god created by Abraham (who may also be a creation his culture as well as having sex with at least one slave, banishing that slave and her child to the desert, and offering his wife to others when it seemed expedient to do so) and that Christians believe in a god created by Jesus, the followers of his brother James, and by Paul, not to mention by the gradual codification of beliefs over the first 5 centuries of Christianity. Chuck, I agree with you observation about religion and effort to be different.

AmericanCitizen, I was aware of that, and it is a vital point to bring up. The point I was trying to raise is that it could be a religion(or sect of) that one may not wish to be a pert of. That is assuming that they should wish to worship at all. But point well taken.

Islam.....a CULT organized in the 7th century by a sexual PERVERT! Muhammad with 12 marriages, sex with children, slaves and concubines, rapes, warfare, conquests, and unmerciful butcheries.

Islam is a caustic blend of paganism and twisted Bible stories. Muhammad it's lone prophet, who made no prophecies, and conceived his cult to satiate his*****for power, sex and money.

To put it simply, the madman was a terrorist.

AmericanCitizen,"You do realize Muslims and Jews and Christians all worship the same God, right?"

No they don't. Jews and Christians are close. Christians believe that Jesus was part of the Trinity, Jews do not. That's a difference. Muslims believe in a god that was created by Mohammed. He took Jewish and Christian Scripture and perverted them to his liking while adding bits and pieces of other religions. A creator God and a created god are not the same.

Not quite. I do not pray to 'Allah'.

Scott36 - "you could end up being forced to pray to Allah...."

You do realize Muslims and Jews and Christians all worship the same God, right? They all consider themselves descendants of Abraham and they all consider the first five books of the Bible (desribing the works of the One True God)to be holy scripture.

First let me state one thing, I am a Christian. As Gavin56 wisely asked "Whose God"? Be extremely, and I mean EXTREMELY careful of what you wish for. It is my understanding that Muslims outnumber Christians worldwide, this being said, you could end up being forced to pray to "Allah" if your wish were to come true. Just my opinion.
