First off, we appreciate the thoughts behind Casey's Marcellus Shale on the Job Training Act, which would authorize grants to strengthen on-the-job training programs to help ensure natural gas drilling jobs go to Pennsylvanians.-Sun-Gazette IMO: #1- IF gas companies are to get Pa. tax dollars, that money should be used to train Pa. residents. IMO: #2- IF gas companies receive this Pa. tax money, they should be monitored to ensure that enough Pa. residents are hired as a result of it. To make sure it is not just throwing money down a rat-hole if you will. Just a personal note- I for one am tired of hearing about how bad the workforce here in Pa. is. I have worked with people from all over the country, some better than others on an individual basis, But IMO, Pa. workers need not take a back seat to anyone.

"Francine, the people that will be trained are going to be from PA but as clearly stated a more experienced person from out of state would be more beneficial to the company."

And as we have seen in the past, those "more experienced" may even be illegal aliens coming out of Texas!
