CitizenSane, I agree with you as well, although now that the gas industry has lied their way into the state with their false promises, they are here to stay.

It is right that we protect our state forests from this industry, and from any type of industrial activity. What we must keep in mind is that we won't be able to effectively save them if we continue to allow gas drilling to be done on the peripheral land surrounding it. Our state lands are indeed special, but so are the private properties, family farms, and rural communities. Most people who signed a gas lease signed due to misleading information from predatory landmen. There is no rush to drill, no national energy crisis. we need a statewide moratorium, now! Let the independent studies be completed before we decide to continue unconventional gas and oil drilling in PA. It's the only responsible course of action.

C'mon now, you know if we don't let them drill, they'll leave.

Our forests cannot withstand industrialization. Fracking or tourism, you can't have both.

Yes, Thanks you Rep Vitali! Thank you for helping us raise awareness of this issue. These corrupt and parasitic gas companies do not care what damage they do, as long as they can*****the gas out from the land and sell it for profit. Keep it Wild!
