Your assertion (editorial, 8/16) that Obamacare will be unaffordable to the majority of workers and businesses is based on misinformation about the new Affordable Care Act....

Texas, That was just a thought that occurred to me at the time, however EVEN IF it was(extremist) language taught to me, would it change the charge?? Oh, & BTW, you seem to have neglected to comment on the rest of my post, What's a matter, no talking point designed to get you out of commenting?

Scott36,

Works for the 53%. Of course I hear it is up to 58% now since taxes have been increased on the middle class.

When you categorize it as a tax shelter for the wealthy, you are using that extremist language that you have been taught.

Texas, HSA= another tax shelter for the wealthy. You do realize that there are some people that work, and have a hard time just paying their bills. How much do you suppose they can put away?? Aside from those who are quite well off, who can put aside enough to cover some of the hospital charges that were shown in this very paper not so long ago?? This is your answer to our health care coverage problems?

Health savings plans on the other hand, are you serious????--Scott36

Most definitely. I prefer to put those "pre-tax dollars" in every month and then draw out what I need when it's time. Everyone ought to have an HSA. Save for the rainy day.

Scott,"I do not have a reading comprehension problem. But to suggest that health cade costs were under control before the ACA, is just silly. This may not be perfect, but what did the Republicans/conservatives try to do to make it better? Obstructionism is not an effort to help people, or create a better bill."

Yes, you do have a comprehension problem. NO ONE has suggested that costs were under control before the ACA. What has been shown is that the ACA has increased costs at a much faster rate." - enigma

Yeah...that's a lie.

"The costs are going up BECAUSE of Obamacare." Bull.

Health care costs have been rising for at least 15 years. I remember a couple of those years, my insurance went up 30%. You know why? Blue Cross said because usage was up.

So Scott was right-health care costs have been out of control and enigma, you're full of crap.

Lil' Dumbya gave federal-$ub$idie$ to the for-profit in$urance-companie$, thru Medicare D!!!

That way, the in$urance-companie$ can show their investors a consistent profit-margin...pharmaceutical-companies can INCREASE their prices ('cause, who's gonna notice)...and (as usual), taxpayers get stuck with the tab!!
