I found the map mentioned in the editorial. It talked about a lot of things, most of them dealing with the impact of the changing environment on the lakes and the economies around the lakes. Similar to the impact that our activities have on the Cheasapeke Bay. Also, I would think that the Great Lakes water level would fall with rising temps as they are not fed exclusively by melt water. I think the author of the editorial was rather quick to find something upon which to hang his/her opinion.

Absolutely correct, Mr. Bross. Just another example of the SG's lazy and ignorant editorial writing. Climate change is a very complex subject that these morons think they can reduce to some sort of childish gotcha game.

"Climate change alarmists assure us warmer temperatures are melting polar ice, increasing water levels. Just one problem with that: It isn't happening in the Great Lakes."

Gee...all the polar-ice, in the Great Lakes area, has disappeared, huh?

That's all the "fair & balanced news" I can tolerate, today!!!
