Post Office

August 29, 2013

What a joke, they are always crying about everything. Now they want to deliver liquor and beer, they can’t even get the regular mail out on time....

Nobud, I did say most. Some of you on here don't fit the mold sometimes. Just curious you by chance go to Muncy? That is where I went before I moved. They are very good people in there.

Is it POSSIBLE "they're" the same people who are (constantly) "saying" enough to convince everyone (else) an event has actually happened...or, WILL happen???? "

Does anyone know what this dude is talking about? What is the "they" and "they're" thing?

Bingo, Vince. The post office I use has great people. The new manager is not as good as the old one, but the service I receive is excellent, the price is great and they go out of their way to help or answer questions to get the best price for shipping. At times when I have a question as to the amount of postage for a letter that may be oversized or overweight the staff gladly weighs it for me. Yes, carriers, keep up the good work!

(rick, I'm an older Republican, did that surprise you? Beware that broad brush, my friend.)

The only problems I see are with management. They make the big calls and leave everything in the laps of the worker. These people work their tails off in the heat, the cold and I don't hear them complaining. Ok, my husband complains all the time (LOL). Seriously, one elderly lady friend was getting her mail at 7am, because she couldn't possibly stay up late enough to get it. It's not the workers fault, it's comes form up above and we know God wouldn't make these mistakes. Trust me, the workers are suffering more than you can imagine due to the mistakes of management.

You know I never had a problem with the post office. I sell on Ebay occasionally and it is the cheapest way to ship. Good job guys. Pay no attention to these clowns on here, I am sure most are old republicans and that is just their nature and what they do the best.

I think the USPS is asking to be able to deliver these things because it would open a new source of revenue for them. Right now, other carriers like UPS and FedEx have that business.

'm not sure how this would work in PA as the State Store system is firmly in place and I'm not sure we can order liquor from another state and have it delivered here.

I'll say it again. My mail is in my box by 11 each morning. I received mail from Virginia that took only two days to arrive. I will echo Vince and say to the letter carriers to keep up the good work. Thanks.

The US Postal service is a government ran agency, need anything more be said about its overall performance? My mail did not come the other day until after i had gone to bed, i heard the truck outside. I personally don't want my mail sitting in the box all night for anybody to take, they need to get their act together ,whomever, wherever, however!Just get it done.

Shaman - the voices in your head are extra loud today, I see. Try harder to stay in the real world and don't subject the rest of us to your delusional fantasies.

I guess some people are not happy unless they can biatch about something. My experience is that the Post Office does the best they can while doing a job that is becoming obsolete.

I, for the record, have never knowingly had a piece of mail go missing that was the fault of the Postal Service. The few times this has happened to me it was because the sender wrote the address incorrectly.

Keep up the good work, letter carriers.
