Ms. Goodman, let me be the 1st to congratulate you on your 1st. LTE. It's a great letter that should have never needed to be written. So many take for granted what others have sacraficed to make this country what it is for all of us.No matter what party you are or your stand on the wars we've been involved in, every service person, serving or veteran deserves our humble thanks and support. They are the honorable, the brave.

Great letter Janice however you need not be ashamed of your fellow Americans as for anyone with this type of mindset to disrespect their elder whether veteran or not truly are unamerican

Great letter Ms. Goodman. It is almost inconceivable that someone would speak those words to a veteran, or an elder as has been pointed out. The Vietnam war set a precedent for how to treat soldiers coming home from the battlefields.
