It was King George who was 38, and now I cannot stop laughing.

"George Washington for example was 38.." - CMReeder

Another complete lie, because George Washington was actually 44, but of course that only matters to those of us who like to rely on facts and truth.

"They are referring to information from a book written by Todd Andrlik. He wrote it as if he was a reporter at the time of the revolution and the birth of our nation.

He reported the ages of the people at that time when the colony became an independent nation. There were quite a few who were very young.

As young as 18, early twenties and mid thirties. George Washington for example was 38, Thomas Jefferson was only 33. We assumed they were older because they were painted and portrayed as older."

The above information was taken from the post at the local message board and had absolutely nothing to do with any potential candidates age.

If you think he deserves an apology Scott, you apologize to him.

If there were an apology due, I would give it, but since there is not none will be given.

No worry though, a rebuttal letter has already been submitted.

.....and you never will from a conservative. I personally have yet to meet one who would admit an error in their quest to promote their "other religion". A few are close friends, & relatives. We get along in about all other areas. For whatever it is worth, this has been my experience.

Joe Biden as president. If nothing else, that should provide some comic relief.-cavefelem

As compared to the last Republican who occupied the White House--LOL

I want you to know that also I will not make age an issue of this campaign. I am not going to exploit, for political purposes, my opponent's youth and inexperience.- Ronald Reagan.

Love it when two persons, normally on opposite sides agree. :)

King Bloviator, did you get info that from PMSNBC, Stewart or Colbert? Or maybe a youtube video?

"The right is even discussing a way to allow Ted Cruz to qualify the office of President even though he was born in Canada and not in the US and did not move to America until he was 3 or 4 years old"

Dream on Reeder! It "ain't gonna work." He is just as much an American citizen as his Delaware born and raised momma!

That should be "own" not on. And " adding a response" not "adding a respond". Darn fumble fingers.

I've gotten away from reading the LTE's for a bit so I may have missed things. First question, what has happened to CHayes? I haven't seen any posts from him for awhile. Is he ok? Or has he changed names?

Second, when someone states "I am done with this letter" doesn't that usually mean they've finished responding? And what happened to Mr. Reeder's rule that he doesn't respond to his on rants...I mean letters?

Lastly, do you really think if we just ignored his letters and didn't bother adding a respond that he would really stop writing? Worth a shot. <smile>

Chuck, when I was in college, my teachers taught me skills in writing term papers. One of the skills was how not to be redundant.

41 comments???? I can't imagine why that many people would bother to waste time on even reading such worthless drivel when they see who the writer is!

Of course, that's exactly why we get 2 or 3 weekly rants and fantasies from him---because it makes him feel important. Similar to the Napoleonic syndrome of short men. I just don't get why so many feed into it.

Sorry I said it was under breaking news but it was under National News under Old Age;

So the republicans are now attacking Hillary Clinton on her age as well as Joe Biden. They are too old to become president. They have youth on their side with their list of possible presidential hopefuls. Ironic when you think how much they attacked Barack Obama because he was too young and green to be president. Plus when you add the fac that the great and wonderful Ronnie Reagan was old when he was elected president. It is even funnier coming from someone like Mitch McConnell who is running for re-election. Maybe he should retire and let the 'young guns' take over.

Please take note of the date. I won't get an apology but then I don't care.

Gavin you really are pathetic. Mitch McConnell is part of the right wing. I did post about how Republicans at the liberal forum I like to post that they are attacking Clinton about her age and pointing to how young and energetic their hopefuls are. The right is posting articles supporting about young age of politic figures. The right is so obvious in what they doing.

Thius started over month ago this latest talking point just added to that talking point. It truly doesn' have a thing to do with you personally.

Capricorn1 that tell tales after school and you like browbeat people.

I am done with this letter. I stand by what I wrote. All you want to do is beat me up for what you think is personal slights. So go ahead.

"Gavin would have seen I posted that the Republicans lead by Mitch mcConnell was saying that Hillary was too old to be considering a run for President." - CMReeder

Just Googled "Keystone Liberals Forum" and fond Chuck's original post there. Here it is:

"Age is the new talking point for right wingers. They are touting a publication on the age of the historical figures at the founding of America. One does not have to ask why they are so keen on discussing the ages of the people at the time of the founding of America. It is very tranparent it is the age of Hillary Clinton they are going to say she is too old to be President that America and goverrning is for the young like Cruz, Rubio, Paul, Ryan. They are even trying to change a requirement that the President does not have to be American born to hold office because Ted Cruz was born in Canada. The right has become a bunch of manipulative goons."

No mention of Mitch McConnell. Can you say liar, liar, p

Hey Cap, feel free to join the forum. We run a couple of Yahoo's Fantasy Football Pick'em Leagues.

Chuck used to be a co-administrator at the forum, but after the 2010 elections he got mad, took his toys and went home.
