Rick:

The exact formula differs from well to well as geologists recommend changes based on the shale structure, condition, etc. so, you might have more algaecide in one well than in another, based on what came up during the drilling process.

Remember, only the shale layer gets fracked, not everything touching the bore-hole.

The way I understand when drilling for gas in Marcellus it is always done with chemicals. What is with the dear comment anyway.
