Have a lot of great memories of that old bridge. In the summer was always hitch hiking to slab town from Loyalsock Twp. Shirly, what would make you think that the creek wouldn't be safe to swim in?

Garben & Judge... let me get this straight: you read this article, about a great builder, with an innovative spirit...and your only comment is that "they got his township wrong"?? Please, redeem yourselves. I am embarrassed for you.

I read the SG online and it sure would have been nice to see a picture of the new bridge. That aside, I remember as a kid going swimming in the Loyalsock at Slabtown - does anyone swim in the Loyalsock anymore? Is it even safe to do so? Anyhow, all the teenage guys (and some of the girls) would climb up on the bridge and jump off into the creek. Old bridges.
