September 11, 2013

The sound created by thousands of motorcycle engines can’t be compared to the sounds of planes crashing and the sounds of the devastation during the terrorist attacks on Sept. 11, 2001....

Ladydawg4. You are completely wrong. It costs nothing to participate in the ride. And no matter what you think, there are many places in the ride that you can not go around in the Muncy Hughesville area.

You are unpatriotic. The newspaper prints a map of the route of the bikes and you are given fair warning. This gathering of bikes isn't just to ride for fun. These bikers pay to ride as do their passengers. That money in turn is donated to 9/11 memorials, families, or other community events. If the 5,000 bikes that are estimated show up and each driver pay $25, that is $125,000 raised in support. I think that alone is a great thing of support for 9/11. We must never forget 9/11/2001 and how our country changed forever on that day.

Garben, don't say a single negative about it or have any concerens against it. If you do you will be labeled un-patriotic. You are to let them shut down the east end of the county, no questions asked. People are to not have any plans tonight that do not revolve around this parade

It's not about 2 things corresponding with each other. It's about finding something personal that you can do to honor those that perished that day. A name card is made for each person and is carried with the rider during the ride. The ride brings awareness to a terrible event.
