In South Williamsport Landlords have to document every new tenant on paper with the Borough, thats it. The City is overstepping its bounds by requiring anymore. I don't mind documenting who the tenants are but no more. I heard a Community Matters program with T. Miller today and he mentioned calls for service at around 53% of rental properties. No wonder, rentals make up half of the Cities tax base!!! Didn't take rocket science to figure that one. The police have never been to my rental in the city and I've owned it for 10 years now and have had numerous residents come through in that time. Its not all rental properties that cause probelms, its a select few. Mainly the local Housing type that are the problem. Post the correct facts and dont lump all rentals into a category that only a handful are the problem.
