This LTE answers itself I say just stay out of syria and wait for a republican president to get in office then we bomb syria and blame it on him. And just forget we were ever bombed on that sad day in 2001 or have we forgotten

Since former president Bush was pro-life, do you give him a pass for getting us into Iraq and Afghanistan? -Francine

Iraq, no. Afghanistan, only if you feel the killing of 3000 Americans is justification to go to war. I'll let you decide.

Francine Sep-17-13 6:41 AM*** "No Capricorn0, I'll let you decide. After all, you're the military hero with nothing but time and tax payer money on your hands."

Please turn in all of your "support our troops" stickers and magnets. Your statement makes it entirely apparent you believe were all just leeches on the government dole, now doesn't it.

P.S from the sounds of your statements this morning, you wouldn't know class if it fell on you.

Chuck,"What an inane letter! You all are fighting over what exactly."

Let me try to explain it using simple words for you Chuck. This is actually two letters in one. The first is about abortion. The writer points out that while Obama believes we must go to war over a few hundred children killed in Syria, he actively supports the killing of millions here at home through abortion. The second part of the letter points out that Obama is acting as a dictator. Now that you know what it's about you can begin your usual insane ranting against both these ideas.

Jerry,"All this time I've been pledging allegiance to a republic."

Maybe you have been, but some of the people you support haven't. Have you ever seen Obama's face when the flag is presented. It's very telling. He hates everything about this country. He often speaks of how flawed the founding was. It may not have been perfect, but it was the best that flawed humans have ever done. He wants to change all that, and if he can't do it through the Constitutional process, he'll go around it. That sounds rather dictatorial to me. I'm with you on the republic thing, but our President is not and unfortunately, much of Congress (both parties) are with him.

My take is that the President is getting his panties in a wad over the gassing of hundreds of children yet he supports the aborting of millions of mostly black babies. And he's now giving the green light to arm (legally) terrorists. Treason.

Obama is far from being one of our best presidents. He's made many mistakes and I differ with a good deal of his policies, including his handling of Syria.....and calling him an "emperor" or a "dictator" and comparing him to Hitler and saying he "hates everything about this country" is extremist infantile rubbish.

I'd be really anxious to hear your (various) SPECIFIC "cures"/"antidotes" to sidetrack this "decline" (you're so certain is occurring).

The Obama Admin is trying to invent reasons for toppling Assad.

Liberals accused Bush of precisely that with regard to Hussein.

Liberal hypocrisy on display!

I can think of no politician, current or past, of whom I've ever believed hated our country. There are, and have been, plenty of whom I've disagreed with but never have I ever questioned their loyalty or patriotism.

Enigma, I respect that you are entitled to your opinion but your observation comes off to me as being outside of the realm of reality.

Jerry I do think that Rev. Jeremiah Wright had a profound impact on many of Obama's current beliefs and ideologies. JMO

Jerry, Why would someone who doesn't hate the country feel the need to "fundamentally transform" it? He believes that this country is wrong at its foundation. My ideas about Obama come from his own words and actions. He continually tells us how he feels about all of the things this country was founded on. We ignore it at our own peril. I don't expect that I'll convince you, but don't say I didn't warn you. BTW, It's not just Obama, there are many in power who want this country to be something other than what it has always been. Specifically, they want more power for government and less for the people. It has been going on for decades and has finally gotten to the point where we've elected a man who doesn't like the country or the Constitution (he has called it a fundamentally flawed document).
