For cats...there is a local initiative TNR....[trap,neuter,release]The Beckoning Cat Project...well worth supporting. They host a low cost clinic each month.

What does taxes paid have to do with anything? No you did not hit a soft spot of any sort. I felt I was commenting/responding to a stupid comment. PLEASE tell me why most would know why it would hit a soft spot with me. Don't deflect, but answer openly.-Scott

"USA - I often agree with you but I think you skipped over the humor in Premiers post."

Sorry everyone. I guess I'm just a little down at the moment. Tomorrow morning I must enter the hospital. The news is not good. In case I don't make it, please know how much I have enjoyed being here with you all. And please....keep fighting for our country and it's future.

Their is a lot in this lte that should be practiced on humans as we all know welfare cost much more then the billion a year to fix your pets-Garben78

Why don't you be a true leader for the cause--Go First!!!!

I think some people may confuse personality with behavior with regards to their pets. Personality is the overall emotional make up of your pet. Behaviors are usually born as a result of your pet’s personality in relation to his environment. Behaviors can be both positive and negative. According to the ASPCA, there is no scientific evidence that spaying or nurturing has any adverse effect on your pet's personality. However, there is plenty of supporting facts that say it can definitely change your pets behavior in a positive way with regards to urine marking, roaming, aggression, social problems and inappropriate mounting. And it's best to spay or neuter between six and nine months before they develop those behaviors.

USA - I often agree with you but I think you skipped over the humor in Premiers post. Sometimes it's good to just laugh. It doesn't mean he doesn't support spaying or neutering, he was just making light of the subject. I also support this important issue but the comment made me smile (as I believe it was intended to do). As a pet owner of many different pets through the years, I have seen this personality change many times. Sometimes for the better, sometimes for the worse. But that's no excuse for not taking the important step to stop further unwanted animals. Enjoy your day. And SMILE. Life doesn't always have to be so serious.

Pets personalities do change, mostly for the better. They lose their aggressive tendencies and become much better companions.

"I don't know about this, my cat was a great mouser until I had him neutered. Now all he wants to do is play video games and watch Animal Planet."

LOL!

Spay and neuter your pets is a message that needs to be repeated to pet owners.
