What has happened to your logic? What in the world are you babbling about? "Every day there is something new we cannot say or do"....like what exactly? Name one thing you cannot say that was "outlawed" in the last few years? My goodness, your letter is just a mess.

Your letter makes a lot of sense as constantly our freedom are challenged. Any normal sane person can relate to this. We will soon find ourselves babbling about our forced upon dictator Barak of crap care. It is one of many things some have already let slip in. Pretty bad on the drug situation also and as soon as the federal government gets its cut of the marijuana it'll be legal in all 50 states and then what's next? ******? It's a shame but its reality

Ron Paul wonders if we build the wall will it serve to keep other out or to keep us in.

I'm inclined to agree with him.

Chuck is laughing out loud because this is a right wing version of the babble that he writes, so he can relate.

I do agree with the LTE as far as putting our troops on the border to help seal it off.

I'm just have to laugh when Presidents, past and present, have no problem placing our young servicemen and women in harms way in the name of "national security", better known as oil. But at home our borders lay wide open for anyone to come through, including those that want to do us harm. National security abroad, no security at home.

What can't I do?

I can't build a coal power plant. I can't buy an imported, vintage rifle used in World War I. I can't fund my own healthcare without a fine.

Those are just a few examples.

Except for healthcare, all these were implemented without the approval of congress.

No, let's stop the illegal entry into our country by thousands a day and the billion dollars in drugs crossing our borders and killing our kids. I am at a loss why many on the left have a problem with that. The current security is NOT working and liberals don't seem to care. Open the borders wide and grant amnesty to all. Guess what, that may have been nice decades ago, but this country is totally broke, we can't pay the bills and we have a drug epidemic like never before. It's time we worry about our national security and start taking care of our own.

Jerry,"Ron Paul wonders if we build the wall will it serve to keep other out or to keep us in."

I've never heard Ron Paul say that, but you can be sure that if we had a problem with our citizens leaving, that fence would be built in a month.

google "ron paul border fence".

First result: Fox News story Second result: Youtube video of Ron Paul warning of us the perils of the border fence, in his own words.

I assume you won't question my sources as biased.

Scott do the research on states such as California and others that either have made marijuana legal, or legal for medical purposes and look at the tax money that has been generated. The AG himself has now come out and stated that they are going to leave states alone regarding the legalization of marijuana. More and more states are jumping on the band wagon, and if you don't think money isn't a huge player in all this, then you're not paying attention.

Jerry, Not really questioning your facts, but thanks for the additional info. I was just saying that we don't have to worry about the fence being used to keep us in as long as this is a better place to live than Mexico, but that the fence would be done if that were the problem. That's because our government has become all about controlling us rather than protecting us, and that is probably what Paul was talking about.

Jerry, I have heard many make the statement regarding the fence and keeping Americans in. What some are forgetting it it's just as illegal for Americans to cross into México without proper authorization, as it is for Mexicans to cross into the U.S. The fence is already 1/3 of the way completed and they have authorized points to cross both directions with the proper documentation. No different than entering or leaving the country by air.

Scott, I'll admit that the letter was rambling, and toward the end even came close to a Chuck-like state of incoherence. What I don't get is that you took a sentence with a typo to make your point. Changing legally to legalize turns the sentence into a real concern. If we see another three letters from Sharon in the next week with the same kind of style, then I will be the first to say that she is the female, conservative version of Chuck. What I have yet to hear is a liberal who will admit that Chuck is,,,well, you know, Chuck.

Cap & Enigma:

The video is 52 seconds long. It's Ron Paul in his own words, verbatim and in context.

In the event of economic turmoil the border fence will be used to keep Americans in.

Not sure how I could possibly make it any plainer.

Jerry, I never doubted what you said. I was just pointing out that Americans have no more right to cross into Mexico illegally than Mexicans do here.

As far as the border goes, let's let our Spec/ops and Sniper Corps (pronounced "core" Obama) vets just have "The Southern Border Turkey Shoot. And if the Cartels want to get it on, so be it. Our guys are much better than some hired thugs.

Jerry, Why so defensive? I said that I didn't doubt what you said. Lighten up. The fact that a fence could be used to keep Americans in is no excuse not to build it. If they want to keep us in they will, and if they think they need a fence, they will build it then. I want it built now, when it can be used to keep illegals out. The problem is that our government is not concerned with enforcing the immigration laws. I would like to change that. This is the only country in the world that you can enter illegally and be treated better than a native born citizen. That's insane.

Ok Cap.

The economy has collapsed, the country is in chaos and there has been a break down of law and order. Somehow, you've reasoned the best thing for you and your family is to just get the heck out. Your family and everything you could manage is in the truck, destination south.

At that point, do you think you are going to let a misdemeanor charge stop you?
