Unforgivable

September 20, 2013

On the evening of Sept. 5th my daughter and son-in-law had a power problem, so he went to get the generator and it was gone. Police were called. Luckily, his brother had one he could use....

"and to do it to a blind person is unforgiveable" and who does that to children..... Who does that to ANYONE is the question.

Don't worry, if the people are caught, they will have a great excuse, probably invoking hardship.

Then, a liberal lawyer will defend the criminals.

Heaven forbid the criminal gets hurt on your property while stealing something. Liberals have managed to award nice settlements to criminals for their pain, suffering and lack of loot.

Why did you need a generator for a blind person, they cant tell if it is light or dark.

If he is totally blind how did he know it was gone? And why didnt the daughter go get it instead of a blind person. I never see too many blind people lifting generators and doing manual labor. Seem like too many holes in this story.

Leave it to Erik to make this a partisan issue. Give up dude, everyone knows you are unable to do any thinking of your own, you simply spout off talking points from others. You act like the world of politics is a sporting event where you pick a time because you like their uniforms or they are from your home town. You then blindly and irrationally root for them regardless of reality. If the GOP starting gang raping little kids on TV you have a rationale for that no doubt. I am sure it would be a liberals fault. You are a true embarrassment to humans. Even the GOP would disavow you. And Fromtheport, you are even worse... Carol, I hope things work out for you and your family, people deserve better than that.

IMHO, Erik is exactly what the neoconservative movement wants to create, & capitalize on. It's a shame.

Scott, do you feel that hard line liberals are any better? Both sides of the aisle have their share of tow the party line mentality. One needs to look no further than this message board. As far as this letter, I believe in Karma Ms. Chapman, they will get theirs one day.

"and to do it to a blind person is unforgiveable"

Since when does it make a difference who the victim of the crime is? Is it acceptable to steal from a rich white guy? Oh wait, we can't go there, because then it becomes political and we can't have that here. The idea that it is more acceptable to steal from some than from others is very political and it was in the letter, but it's not politically correct to point it out. Isn't it great how political correctness always works to the advantage of one side. But we can't say which side that is, because that would be politically incorrect. GIVE ME A BREAK YOU LEFTIST IDIOTS!

Wow, I am continually amazed at the ignorance shown on here. I'm not even sure why I'm bothering taking the time to reply. I am totally blind also, and no I don't know the people in this story at least to my knowledge. I can't believe someone would actually make the comment that blind people don't really need electricity because we can't tell light from dark. Do you think all blind people just live in caves and have no other interests or activities that would require electricity? or medical problems that may have perhaps required oxygen as this letter seems to indicate? And blind people are certainly capable of doing manual labor if their health allows as well as using computers, smart phones, and any number of other things. I'm posting this on break from my job as a computer programmer as we speak. While your ignorance astounds me, I'm not going to let it ruin my day. I've got too many things to enjoy and too many people counting on me being productive. Have a nice day.

Fromtheport, last season a blind woman won Masterchef and I was totally amazed at what she could accomplish in the kitchen being totally blind. She would put many Chefs in fine dining restaurants to shame. You're ignorance precedes you.

Did everyone see the poor little liberals get all upset because I clearly pointed out their softness on criminals and excuse-making for thieves?

But, a shooting happens at a military base and liberals can't wait until the bodies are counted before accusing the Tea Party and NRA for the problem.

You liberal hypocrites took the bait!!!!!

Fromtheport you are ignorant just because someone has a disability doesn't mean they can't work. I've seen disabled people work harder than able bodied people. It's people like you that make the world what it is today.

Scott, do you feel that hard line liberals are any better?-Capricorn1 Both sides have their "nuts", that being stated, The hard right rarely if ever, can admit fault. Just look at some of the statements posted on here. I do not see you or anyone else condemning a certain poster on these boards that makes up overtly disgusting monikers towards others. Yet the right self proclaims itself the "moral" party.

enigma:

""and to do it to a blind person is unforgiveable"

Again, that is the statement that immediately hit me too. And like you, I also wondered if the writer thought it was any less forgivable if a generator, or any property, was stolen from a sighted, healthy person. I was also curious where the generator was kept. Anything of any value that I own, especially if it was essential for health reasons, would be in a locked basement, shed, garage, etc. and if it was, and the breaking & entering & robbery was reported to the police, homeowner's insurance should replace it.
