Pastor Karen,

"let go of the evil and let the goodness come in?"

It would be helpful if you tell people who the "goodness is" and how to bring Him into your heart. We do sinners a great injustice when we don't give Jesus Christ the glory first. We also do Him an injustice by putting the acceptance of Him in light of a world full of "goodness" by looking around at what we have.

You embrace a modern philosophy of Christianity as opposed to the Truth." Jesus Christ is the truth and the righteousness, not any action on our part will bring any "goodness" into our lives withour Him.

Wouldn't it be nice if there was something, anything, coming out of the District of Curruption, that one could find something nice to write about!

Media is just a tool.-CMReeder

I agree, However so is "advertising", & a highly effective one at that. But I feel that it is still a large part in contributing to division.-Scott

C'mon, c'mon!! You know of someone-ELSE who puts so much voluntary-effort into the latest/greatest conspiracies???

Porky Limbaugh/FAUX Noise/NY Post don't count. They're (already) well-established "pros".

As far as I'm concerned they are a key player in the division of this country.-Capricorn1

Hats off to you sir!! You and I are in total agreement on this. IMHO, They are geared more to being "entertainment" than News. I understand that they need to pull in an audience to make money, but it would be much better if it were not presented in such a "our side/their side" fashion. I also sincerely agree with you that it is a major factor in dividing the American people. Makes one wonder why someone would see a benefit to this. Good post. Hope you got to enjoy some of this beautiful day!!-Scott

Shaman, if you were an optimist, wouldn't you see the best in all sides? As an engineer, wouldn't you see things like cause and effect clearly and look at meaningful measurements to prove impact or not? If that was the case, it seems your tact be modified to gain results and not just fans leaning your direction.

Well Pastor, I agree that we should be thankful for all of the good things in life and I do thank God everyday for them, but I have to say that there is good news in the paper and even in the letters to the editor. Unfortunately, most of the news these days is bad and that's what we have to deal with. I also agree that it is sad that rather than being happy with what they have, too many people are unhappy about what they don't have. All of the bad news is easier to take if you can just be happy because of the good things, and happiness begins with gratitude.

So my sister notice a young cat hanging out back but acted like it was wounded or hurt. I caught a glimpse but could not get close. This morning she was hanging on the fringes of the wooded area and was able to approach and pick her up. She smells, eyes are sunken in and very emaciated. We have called the vet, try to fed her, isolated her from our pets and will take it one step at a time. We also posted her pic on Facebook. Hoping that someone lost their pet but truthfully I think it was abandoned.
