Pastor Rine, while I totally agree with your letter, it is difficult for people to stay positive with the current state of this nation and it's economy and the constant barrage of bad news from mainstream media.

I think we should all be thankful too. I personally like to look for the Good in all people. I also know that part of our life here is full of challenges and choices that everyone is faced with. Yes, they are troubled times, but are these troubled times any less than others? Is it a more troubling time than in Jesus' day? I like to see people looking to act responsibly to address such troubled times while being thankful for what they do have. We have allowed the troubled times to consume us. Maybe we got it wrong and didn’t fight hard enough to maintain the family, to prevent wasteful spending, to stop corruption and to build a character of honor and respect for life.

Garben, IMHO you are more radical than some of the die hard liberals that post on here. Give it a rest. Your comments are welcome but try and tone them down. If you can't get your point across without name calling and bashing others, then why bother?

DJ, I do in fact mean ALL main stream news media... if you have read many of my comments in the past, you will know that I'm not a fan of any of them. They are nothing more than entertainment and do not resemble real journalism in any fashion. As far as I'm concerned they are a key player in the division of this country.

...And, those folks who have a need to constantly-complain (See: T-Baggers), REVEL in "troubled times"...whether actual, or perceived, or...in T-Baggers' case...auto-created.

Pastor Rine you had an opportunity to write a letter citing the good and you didn't.

To the conservatives who agree with her letter does this mean you will now stop saying how bad Obama is, how bad the economy is , how bad and trouble the nation is?

What's most-funny...and, sometimes, kind o' scary, is...they don't (even) recognize they're doing-so.

Shaman, not sure why you have to use names like you do for others who don't share your view, but if you think those you list as complainers, where would you see yourself?

Whew!! That doesn't give them much (left-over) to complain-about!!!

I really don't think we need to encourage them to be more-creative.

...As their polar-opposite; an eternal-optimist.

After DECADES of listening to their "psychic"-predictions...primarily since Dick Nixon was jettisoned from the Whitehouse...and, watching MOST of their "predictions" blow-up (in their collective-faces)...I figure my agenda is more-representative of what REAL-Americans feel. Maybe it's a result o' my engineering-background, but...REAL-Americans don't see every-little-issue as a "problem"....but, a puzzle to be solved. The perpetually-lazy prefer to see every issue as an insoluble-roadblock.

Some people look at a rose bush and see the pretty flowers while others see only the thorns. It’s that human nature thing again.

So my sister notice a young cat hanging out back but acted like it was wounded or hurt. I caught a glimpse but could not get close. This morning she was hanging on the fringes of the wooded area and was able to approach and pick her up. She smells, eyes are sunken in and very emaciated. We have called the vet, try to fed her, isolated her from our pets and will take it one step at a time. We also posted her pic on Facebook. Hoping that someone lost their pet but truthfully I think it was abandoned.
