"There is no way to know if they are truly raising funds for charity. Should make you wonder why they don't advertise it."--Chuck

Your mind is a really dark place isn't it Chuck. Where does this kind of distrust come from? It's very troublesome how you went from acknowledging that some people do anonymous charitable acts in your first post to this one. And it only took an hour and a half for the darkness to move in. I won't repeat my advice to you, but please take it, for your own sake.

Why would this writer have the need to make this public? I have known Bob Beiter for most of my adult life and I would not put an act like this past him, and I know him well enough to know he would not want this to be made public. I wonder what her intentions are/were to do this?

Mr. Beiter, you're a very generous man. But I wonder if your modesty is restricting the giving of others? I say that because if I knew up front that the money I pay for parking was going to charity, I would not only seek your lot out, but I would pay above and beyond the posted parking price. I believe a lot of other people would too. But regardless, you have a very kind heart.

It's a great deed indeed and more businesses and private citizens should follow suit. I just wonder how many don't pay taxes on the money they get paid to rent their parking spots? Ill bet none

You know some people do not want their 'good deeds' published. They don't do it for recognition.

My sister worked for a company locally and they collected money every year at Chistmas for a gift for him. One year he came out and told them not to get him a gift. While he appreciated the gesture he really did not have a want or a need for anything. That if they truly wanted to do something for him that they would take money collected and give it to a family or families who needed it.

So they did as he asked they contacted the Salvation Army and the they in turn came up with a list of names and the employees purchased coats, boots and a toy for every child in 20 families that year. Their boss got to hand out the gits that year. Their boss loved it so much that they did it again and had more families and a third year. He passed away shortly after that third Christmas. My sister left that company for a higher salary job. She did not keep in touch. Don't know if the program still exis
