Every plan sold or renewed in the individual and small group market after January 1, 2014, must include all the benefits in a “benchmark” plan – a plan chosen for the state based on coverage currently available in the state – and will cover services in the following categories:

Ambulatory patient services Emergency services Hospitalization Maternity and newborn care Mental health and substance abuse disorder services, including behavioral health treatment Prescription drugs Rehabilitative and habilitative services and devices Laboratory services Preventive and wellness services and chronic disease management Pediatric services, including oral and vision care. ----------------------------------- Why should a male, such as my unmarried 45 year old nephew, have to pay for maternity and newborn care, or pediatric services, including oral and vision care?

Obamacare is here! Even though the republicans have shut government down to stop people from signing up for the insurance exchange. Still the right doesn't see they are the ones who failed.

Obamacare is here! Tens of millions of citizens will need to research and compare his or her options for obtaining a qualifying health care insurance plan.

He or she will need to understand premium subsidies and cost sharing and determine eligibility. Deductibles, out-of-pocket expenses, and co-insurance will need to be considered when selecting an affordable monthly premium.

Website errors and long phone waiting times can be expected.

How are those who found it an insurmountable obstacle to obtain a simple photo ID ever going to handle all that?

I've read this letter three times and I'm having a difficult time deciding how to classify it. Is it a run of the mill sour grapes letter? Or angry rant? Or just a rambling mess of complaint.

I can't decide.

Hey Bobbie - I'm ready to come down from the fence, not going to announce yet tho.

Do you wing nuts ever step back and examine your hatred of fellow countrymen? Do you? Or do you just continue to dutifully fill your head with the seething rage spewed daily by your closed circuit wing nut media realm? -Forty

LoL sorry Forty, I'm having a difficult time feeling the love of fellow countrymen with that statement. LoL Kind of like the way you were mocking the victims of Benghazi and their families yesterday with your snide comments. Not a whole lot of love for fellow countrymen there.

Cap1 says; "...as an Independent, myself and many others like me are totally disgusted with both sides of the aisle and the massive government we are left with today. The fact that you think liberals are any better than their conservative counterpart, just tells me that you are part of the problem like usual. I have to laugh when I see people pointing fingers, because their other four fingers are pointing back at them. I say vote term limits and get all these crusty old lobbyist influenced corruptiticians out of office!" Good comment and I agree. Aligning yourself totally with one side retards your ability to reason. I don't dislike the federal government, just the attitudes of the people who are running it.

DavidBross, OK, I get it, you think that the founders were evil and we shouldn't listen to them. Whose ideas on government should we use in your opinion? Marx? That seems to be the course you prefer. Machiavelli? He seems to be a favorite in Washington. Maybe Nietzsche? Our President seems to feel that he is the Übermensch. Maybe you like that one. If not our Constitution, which political philosophy would you prefer?

My reference to slavery and limited voting ties into the author's comments about the intentions of the Founding Fathers. The changes to the Constitution regarding slavery and voting happened long after the Founding Fathers were dead.
