"County District Attorney Eric R. Linhardt also mentioned resurrecting DARE programs to inform the youth of the dangers of drug use."

Seriously...we (actually) have a County District Attorney that's THAT clueless about D.A.R.E., he another o' those needy-folks, who simply loves the sound of his own voice, and can't WAIT to share it with others??

If there needs to be money, spent, we should (instead) spend it on something that (actually) works.

I am in my 60's and have never tried an illegal opiate. I don't remember ever having received specific drug education as is presented to the youth today. I am not sure how more education will affect the problem, it seems as though some people refuse to be educated to the dangers of drugs!

radioactive, parents don't want to parent. They want to be friends with their kids, they want to blame all the kids' shortcomings on someone else, they want absolve themselves and their kids of responsibility. That said, it can still happen to good families. I've seen it. But, it sure helps prevent it and it sure helps when it comes time to get clean.

I really think we need to have better and more accessible treatment. Incarcerating users hasn't worked.
