"35 years ago, when I entered the workforce, if I was to be there at 8 a.m., I showed up at 7:30 - and would pick up a broom and start sweeping - off the clock and before they opened. Nowadays, younger folks wander in 10-15 minutes late, and think nothing of it. That doesn't sound like "working smarter" to me..." - RexJag

'Tis true!!!

Someone who'd managed to secure a broom...twice-as-WIDE, as yours...and, managed to get-the-job-done, in HALF the time you did...would be an example o' "working smarter".

Sure, a general statement, but accurate. 35 years ago, when I entered the workforce, if I was to be there at 8 a.m., I showed up at 7:30 - and would pick up a broom and start sweeping - off the clock and before they opened. Nowadays, younger folks wander in 10-15 minutes late, and think nothing of it. That doesn't sound like "working smarter" to me...

...That "good ol'" sentiment expressed by folks who are too-cheap...or, too-STUBBORN...to work SMARTER. That surely is the case for the business, (directly) South of Williamsport Foundry!!!
