While I don't always agree with the editor, my husband is a retired Army MSG and my son is currently serving in the Air Force. This is an excellent editorial. Our Veterans, especially those suffering from PTSD are often addicted and imprisoned due to their afflictions. It's time we deal with each case accordingly. People with mind illnesses should NOT be treated the same as the common criminal and they certainly shouldn't be punished the same.
