Allenwood and Dewart are outside Lycoming County. So is Avis to the West. You could live in Black Forest or Waterville and be in the County but no closer than the examples I gave, to the city. It's a Stupid ordinance.

I read this ordinance, it says a person who owns a rental must reside or have a full time property manager living in lycoming county. I wonder how that will play out for the people that own a rental but live in lewisburg, or other close locations. What a joke this ordinance is.

If there are only certain problem rentals in the city, then why not just concentrate on them? Why the need to make this everyones bother? If you want to get rid of the h e r o i n and drug infiltration, first deal with the demand. OR surround the town with barbed wire, have Military manned gates, show ids, search vehicle and body.....When you have people who don't get the first solution, then you get the alternative

Tim Miller is the acting Captain, I believe. He may have been promoted to Captain by now as well. He is standing-in for Captain Mike Orwig, who has been deployed with the military for some time now. If Orwig was not serving out country, he would be in the news for the same things Miller has been. It's not like either one of them are brand new scapegoats or whatever your comment is suggesting.

andy, tim miller wrote the ordinance,We do need a way to stop landlords who have problem proerties Tim is stepping up to the plate giving a free or inexpensive license to landlords is the answer The cost of losing your license can be very expensive ,(they can close your building down) This will make landlords more proactive in screening tenants, what we all want? Registering tenants is a mooot point.
