You could take any kid from one of the "Small School Buses" and put him in charge of Penn Dots budget and the kid would be sending excess money back to the Treasury. Penn Dot gets more than enough money. they need to quit spending money on unnecessary bridges and paving low traffic count roads. Other states do NOT pave every old cattle path or build two lane bridges every 3 miles for 5 vehicles a day.

Yes, this is exactly what working people in this area need: higher gasoline prices. We don't have the luxury of public transportation. Many people I know car pool to work. We can't cut down on driving. Wages are stagnant, so increases have to be absorbed somehow.

I agree with Francine. How about sit down, address the prevailing wage issue, and figure out how to make do with what you have already.

After all, that's what we working taxpayers have to do each and every day.
