I found out that the Park Manager is looking for volunteers to clear brush and reinforce the boundry lines of the park.

Sign up for volunteers is Oct. 19th at 8:30 so maybe Tom's dreams can continue on.

If I'm not mistaken Tom left the property to Divine Providence Hospital, not the people of Lycoming County.

The money is being used to create 2 endowed funds.

One fund would support grants within the County to organizations to meet their needs and the other fund would support programs for Susquehanna Health for recreational and rehabilitative needs for patients. This was part of Mr. Rider's wishes to benefit people of our community. Money should have been set aside for maintaining the park.

I would like to thank you, Larry and Ron for your many hours of volunteer work in keeping the park a beautiful place for the residents of Lycoming County.

If there is one thing that can be discerned from the Ryder park fiasco, it is, "The best-laid plans of mice and men oft go astray". Once you depart this earth anything that you visioned likely will be manipulated!
