A few hundred???? Maybe more like a dozen or so...... I'll bet the SG wasn't even alerted by the organizers that the event was even happening.

Mike, I can believe that. The UCC's that I know of will give "according to your faith".-Scott

Scott36-'Protestants also will give Communion to all who want to receive it, Roman Catholics do not."

Well, that kind of depends on the denomination and/or individual congregation. Some require that you have received Christ as your savior, some require that you have received Christ and have been baptised, others require church membership (less common) and others still will give communion to anyone.

There are some fundamental differences between Catholic and Protestant. I.E., Catholics believe that you have to go through a priest to receive forgiveness of you sins, Protestant don't.-mikekerstetter

One is saved through a personal relationship with Jesus Christ Most Catholics believe you have to have an intercessor, IE the Priests or the Pope.

They're already, (quite) obviously, overjoyed with themselves, over the number o' unintentional-mothers they've delivered into poverty. -Shaman

I'm sorry, was it the pro-life movement that got these women pregnant to begin with? I have to laugh every time you use that tired excuse for women that are "forced" into poverty. Soon you'll be coining a new label; pro-life rapist.

Why doesn't your group clarify just what you want done to women who get an abortion after you change the law? I assume you want them to be executed for Murder. If So, why not say so. Make signs saying, " We demand that we Execute ALL women who have an abortion"!!!" - Alsever

You (actually) believe they could HANDLE that much Ecstasy??!!!

They're already, (quite) obviously, overjoyed with themselves, over the number o' unintentional-mothers they've delivered into poverty. When they've (already) got such long-term-punishment plans, in place (for previous "irresponsible-behavior"), I can't believe they're all-that-interested in something as final...and, unfulfilling...as execution.

"Oh, and while I am stating my disgust at the anti-Catholic content in this newspaper, I'd love at some future date in the Saturday religion section of the paper to see for once a pro-Catholic article.

Proud to be a Catholic." - Grace Callahan

I'm thinking...the new Pope has GOT-to-be the BEST publicity (real) Catholics could possibly WANT!!!!!

Al, I think any reasonable person knows in their heart that abortion is not going to be criminalized. I think the only thing the pro-life movement can do at this point is try and educate young people about the consequences of unwanted pregnancies and for those that do find themselves pregnant, show them the alternatives to abortion, such as adoption. They can attempt to reduce the number of abortions, but they will never be able to eliminate them or change the law to criminalize it.

I went by the rally, how could you not and there were less people than previous years. The pro choice people were there with their signs.

The author has a good point about coverage of the rally. The author also displays a severe case of tunnel vision. For example, the religion section of the paper is typically focused on Christians. Somehow, she sees that as anti-Catholic, It is very telling that she distinguishes Catholic from Christian.

Grace, Thank you for standing up for the unborn. I am sure that some noticed and were joyful.

On the other thought in your letter, God doesn't look at what denomination we are. He looks to see if we believe and trust in Jesus.

Have a wonderful day and weekend.

You do not have a right to media coverage.

Nevertheless, is seems the organizers failed to inform the media of this event ahead of time.

I'm surprised they didn't cover it seeing as this is a conservative leaning paper. I guess this is their poor way of being fair and balanced since the pro-choice crowd didn't show.
