Dependence, self-esteem

Yeah, he got fired, not promoted to Grand Kleagle and Senate Majority Leader.

Forty,

For some time, we and others have been able to engage you in discourse without such intensity on your part. It doesn't seem possible anymore to discuss anything now without you being so angry. No one is trying to fool anyone here. You can't make someone racist if they aren't. You can't deem a person guilty of an ugly character trait unless you know their heart.

God I just love the R's shrugging their shoulders and saying...."racist, there are no stinking racists here"! The rhetoric on the right is always implied that it's the blacks and mexicans and just all the brown people. Look at the idiot in NC that just got fired by the GOP for letting the truth slip from his lips regarding lazy blacks and their Jim Crow voting ID law. You're BULL Scatting no one here!

Why are a massive numbers of poor republican voters sucking on the government tit, while at the same time thinking its not themselves who are the lazy looking for handouts? It's the blacks and mexicans and the lazy, dirty people who are the takers. Never the white trash republicans. This area is chock full of white trash republicans sucking on the government tit. Look in the mirror! -Forty

You need to dial it back a bit.... personally I know I never made any of the accusations that you're spouting off about and I don't think anyone else on here has either. And I don't point to any political party when it comes to those abusing the system. I just simply point out that the system is broke and the fact that half the country draws from the system proves that point. Liberals just choose to ignore the facts and go on thinking that all these people must need help if the government is giving it to them.

No one here at any juncture I know, outside of the racist liberals/Democrats have stipulated or inferred that only blacks and Mexicans (BTW, politically correct is Hispanic) are on welfare. Who said that?

Shulski, I'm not sure where you got your information but a family of four in PA can make up to 3141.00 and still receive food stamps. A family of two can make up to 2069.00 a month. I would NOT call that living in poverty...

Hi, Relene. I saw some of the highlights. I think they are going to end up delaying some or all of Obamacare. If that happens, I don't know if Blue Cross will allow my policy to continue or not.

I will have to go through the federal exchange at some point, but I'm not going to that website until it's ready to go.

The bottom line is that I was paying for my own health insurance, but I will be forced into a plan where someone else pays for it (100% subsidized according to the Kaiser calculator). If the website isn't fixed by mid-December and if BC doesn't allow me to keep my plan, then I will just go without for a year. No big deal for me to skip a year.

It looks like most people you have individual plans will be in the same boat.

SSI pays $8,400 a year. With food stamps, it's $200 more a month for $9,800 a year. Welfare benefits pay even less. Do some research Miller. You're so ignorant. The poverty line is at $12,000. Do you know what it's like to live in poverty and not have enough to eat? I did when I worked my way through college and graduated****laude. You're iphone 2012 car myth is spread by Fox News and internet like a whore between D.C. Republicans and the health care lobbyists who own their campaigns. And the conservative media that brainwashes you to be an ignorant fool who's duped by corporate America.

Since Christ is our Saviour, we have full access to God through Jesus Christ, His Son. I am amazed that so many Catholics have admitted that they do not open the Bible (The Written Word) of God. The priest, according to Catholics, can only and or rightly interpret it. That's not true because if someone is seeking truth through God's Word, The Holy Spirit, also God, will reveal to us truths about Himself.

In short, the only prayer God hears from a sinner, is the prayer of repentance of sin and calling to Him to be our Savior. Once salvation is obtained, (immediately) we have complete access to God always. As I said above, as Christians, we can break the fellowship with Christ, which hinders our prayer life, if we go to Him with unconfessed sin in our lives. We are completely made righteous, always and forever before God, but because we are born sinners, life is an ongoing struggle with sin. But, make no mistake, you don't need any third party to access God.

Side,

Texas just added an excellent post. He is correct in that we can go to God directly without a priest. We cannot go to God without first accepting Him as our Saviour. Why would someone want to pray to a God they don't believe in anyhow? God does not hear our prayers if we are sinners and if we are saints that have unconfessed sin before Him. The first part of this statement about being a sinner. I am a sinner too, I'm just saved by His grace, hence, I'm a child of the King and thus an heir to the throne of God's kingdom. The second part of the assertion about going to God with unconfessed sin is because we broke our fellowship with Him when we sinned. It's sort of like this. When our children do something wrong, they are still our children, but the relationship is strained until the child is disciplined for the wrong doing and admits to it. Once saved, we don't lose our salvation and there are some who teach that -again, another falsehood.

Spike,

God the Father, God the Son, God The Holy Spirit.

When Christ was conceived (by the power of The Holy Spirit - through Mary (chosen AMONG women not ABOVE women) God becomes a man. He was not part God and part man. He was completely human and completely divine. Before Christ came, people could know God partially. After Christ came, people could know God fully because He became visible and tangible in Christ. Christ is the perfect expression of God in human form. The two most common errors people make about Jesus are to minimize His humanity or to minimize His divinity. Jesus is both God and man.

Sideliner,

I usually don’t view LTE’s during the day but had a few minutes at lunch and then have to head back to work.

Good question. God is one essence/being/nature but three persons (Father, Son and Holy Spirit). So when you talk to Jesus, you are talking to God. There are some things that God has revealed to us but there is a lot of mystery in the Trinity. It is appropriate to pray to all three persons of the Godhead.

We can go to God directly in prayer and do not need a priest or other person to intercede for us. All Christians are saints.

Sometimes God uses people to share the gospel message (word and deed) and reveal himself to them. Many times people will share other’s burdens and intercede in prayer to God in their behalf.

See you later.

"China is a "Collectivist" society Enigma. They always have been. That's why we owe them like forty trillion dollars."-Shulski

First, we owe China a little over ONE Trillion dollars. Next, is China the country you want to model the U.S. after? If so, you're in luck because we're headed in that direction. Maybe before you use China as a shining example, you should look at why they can loan us money. It's because the people have nothing. The government and their cronies have it all. The wealth gap in your precious collectivist society is worse than it is here. That's always how it is in government controlled economies. The common people in China are little more than slaves. There is one thing we could learn from China. Look at how much the government there spends on welfare. Maybe if our government was as frugal as theirs, we wouldn't need to borrow money from them.
