Kudos

October 25, 2013

Kudos to the many law enforcement agencies which, working together, were able to apprehend both recently escaped fugitives in very challenging conditions....

The criminal justice system is political as the laws and rules are made by politicians.

But the liberal Mr. Reeder wants to deny his ideology's complicity in releasing criminals back into society over and over again.

C'mon Chuck, This was a silly letter and we're just trying to have some fun with it. Not to mention that you don't seem to have a problem making things political. You're probably just sore that you didn't get the first shot. I guess what I'm saying here Chuck is, "What a loser!"

I think we could come up with better punishments than prison, unfortunately, liberals stand in opposition to anything that does not benefit criminals.-eriklatranyi

...or should I say erikgiuilani--A noun, a verb, & "liberal". Guess it is the only way he knows how to articulate.

"Both Delaware and Pennsylvania have the same "state drink." Milk."

Except for Democrats. The official drink for them in both states is Kool-Aid.

The letter has nothing in it about how conservatives and liberals view law enforcement, treatment of criminals or sentencing by judges.

Yet Erik has decided that is what it is about. You all wonder why all the liberals here pick on poor little Erik. He gives all the conservative leaning posters here a bad name, constantly.

Cap:

This guy probably was sentenced to a Day Reporting Center before prison.

I don't think you understand how many chances these scum get.

Don't get me wrong. I think we could come up with better punishments than prison, unfortunately, liberals stand in opposition to anything that does not benefit criminals.

Erik, I understand that it had to be egregious for the judge to lock him up, but is that really the answer to our prison overcrowding issue and the fact that tax payers are paying other counties ten of thousands of dollars to house our prisoners? That's why a day reporting center would be so beneficial for offenders such as these. I still think they wasted an incredible amount of resources hunting these two non violent offenders down. One only needs to look at the Lycoming County most wanted flier to see that there are much more serious offenders that are still on the loose that these resources could have been better spent on. These two would have been caught eventually without wasting the money they did.

Cap:

They do not incarcerate you for missing one child support payment.

The violation has to be particularly egregious to warrant a judge imposing a prison sentence.

Given this lowlife loser tried to escape, he deserves punishment that liberals would find "cruel and unusual", like hard labor.

I still question why so much money and so many resources were expended to capture someone that was initially locked up for failing to pay support. IMO it's policies such as this that are the reason our jails are overcrowded. Locking up someone for not paying support only takes that person away from his job, furthering the children from getting the support.
